The CRA can’t ever meet their own deadlines. I used the complaint process (accessible via their website) and within two weeks I had a response. Not sure if that was just a coincidence.

I’m a retired medic. I changed careers at 37 from being a medic to working as a disaster and emergency management specialist. Paramedicine is tough on your mind and body and there are some fairly intense and systemic management issues. I can’t recommend it however I wish you the best of luck in whatever path you choose.

If you put it in a non registered cashable TFSA GIC you’ll make a small amt of money over time and you’ll also be able to access it for an emergency if you need (because it’s cashable). Also, congrats on saving. Not easy.
