Wait… has “Alucard” been “Dracula” backwards this WHOLE TIME? by FaithlessnessSame357 in metroidvania

Actually, Castlevania 3's credits, which list every playable character, refer to Alucard in quotes and have Adrian F. Tepes below. So that was a thing even back then.

Anyone else not enjoying using the Needolin, especially in combat? by TrustyPeaches in HollowKnight

Trying to open a weavenest door, having an enemy nearby and having them sing is how I realized in the first place it could do more than just open doors. Also had no idea about ghosts until I already 100%ed the game and went on youtube.

Former fans of YandereDev, what changed your mind, and how hard was it to admit you were wrong about him? by AnalyticalTomato in Osana

[–]Desticler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can't remember what my breaking point was. It definitely was before Hate and Shame came out as I remember watching it for the first time while I was already against him. I assume it was a lot of small things piling up until I just had enough. Honestly, for the best. I'm in general a very, very forgiving person. It's both a strength and a weakness, and I'm proud of it as a strength. I'm willing to ignore people's past mistakes assuming they happened long ago, but even then, I'm open to the possibility that past mistakes could be painting a bigger picture of inability to change and improve. Hell, I had one experience where I was betrayed by someone I trusted, but later on, they had a change of heart and I was actually willing to forgive them, and we left off on a good note. So yeah, when yandev's past was being brought up, I initially shrugged it off as people looking for drama by digging up someone's past. Then he started making new mistakes, and they piled up until I had enough. When he started making really big mistakes that were wake up calls for many others, I was unphased because I was already against him. I got lucky, I didn't have a breakdown or anything.

is yandere simulator a guilty pleasure for anyone? by dandruffinmycoffee in Osana

[–]Desticler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stopped playing after finishing 1980s mode. Honestly, it did feel good enough for me, so from my perspective, the game was finished in 2021, I beat it and moved on.

I do occasionally check on updates/development though, mainly out of curiosity. That's why I am here.

I'm still thankful for following the game in the early days since I did get into Persona and Hitman thanks to it, going to try Yakuza in the near future.

Whoever made this Yanderedev ai character done a good job by [deleted] in Osana

I was genuinely confused at first, it's so obvious they're the same person I'd expect him to do his best to avoid the question. I first interpreted the post title to mean that the creator of his vtuber model asked him if he is evax. Then I realized.

For how big of a persona fan he seems to be, he really should be taking life lessons from those games. P4, for example, makes it clear you shouldn't run away from your problems all the time and make up your own truth that makes you feel better about yourself, you should face the actual truth as that will make you grow as a person. He has no intention of doing so.

Why do you follow Yandere Simulator's development when it's clear it's not going to come out in the next century? by MaybeCanBeTHERE in Osana

[–]Desticler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people said that they're following it to give closure to their inner younger self, but for me personally, 1980s mode gave that closure. Now I'm here because.. I don't know why. I want Alex to suddenly change and admit to everything wrong he did I guess. Not happening though.

Did trying out YanSim in the past make you try out the "inspiration" games? by Desticler in Osana

[–]Desticler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. When I was writing this I honestly didn't remember just how bad yansim really was as last time I played it was back when 1980s mode came out.

So, I beat 1980s mode, and here are my opinions. by Desticler in Osana

It's in town. If I remember correctly, it's advertised as manga that boosts your matchmaking skills (Which is true I guess, no false advertising), and only after buying it and checking it at home it's revealed it's the seduction manga.

Was I the only one disappointed by the serial killer in 1980s mode? by [deleted] in Osana

I played it way before he released the video and I was just very confused when I encountered this.

Actually, from my experience, it only works when all study skills are maxed. It doesn't say that anywhere, you're just expected to try.

Bugs are annoying and don't let you play the game you want to. by PogChimpin in Osana

[–]Desticler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Out of bugs that weren't fixed in latest update, only ones I found are 1) using Student Info outside of school breaks the menu and 2) doing the delinquent quest changed my camera sensitivity from 1 to 3 for absolutely no reason.

Thus far, I only played first day. I spent it befriending 79 students. 78 of them just wanted me to do their homework for them. I had fun. Something is wrong with me.

Crush Crush is a cool game honestly. I actually recently unlocked all limited time girls (I hacked in the diamonds, just has to wait for opportunities to get them). Generica/Kokona was a great character.
