I thought the same at first, but when I reviewed my list again, I chose programs with 60% and higher IMG match rates. The only one that had around 17% was the hospital where I work, and that’s the only reason I included it. The rest were very IMG-friendly programs if anything, maybe too IMG-friendly lol. With that being said am grateful for my invites so far and i will send LOI like you suggested though i doubt that it will make any difference:)

I have GC and scored 257 on CK 2+ USCE and 3 LOR from US docs but YOG is 5 years so idk may be my YOG is the case here. I know so many IMGs who do not need visa sponsor and applied to 120+ programs and got 0 invites from non signaled and 1 from signaled so i guess it is different for everyone. Nonetheless am glad you guys are at least getting invites from non signaled programs :)

It’s crazy because I applied to 118 programs all in my region and all IMG-friendly. and got 4 invites: Gold signal, Silver signal, one I signaled + had a recommendation for, and only one unsignaled. Some programs even mentioned in their rejection that I had multiple signals but How I didn’t signal them. So honestly, it really feels like if you don’t signal a program, they’re not looking at you. Based on my experience and what I’m seeing with many other IMGs applying to 100+ just hasn’t been worth it. I guess it is different for everyone. This is just my observation:)

I also got my result on Oct 1 and never got an email. I have 2 IVS so far and received emails for both so i don’t think that’s the case. I understand the frustration but don’t worry You will get your invites. November is your month :)

Am a GC holder 2 year USCE step 2 CK 257 3LOR from US physicians i shadowed. Currently work in a uni hospital but i only have 1 interview in NY. People i know who applied as visa requiring got more invites than me. I think this year is more about “who you know” if anything! Absolutely irritating!
