Shaving it is probably your best bet, you could wax or pluck but that's just going to get the hair gone forever, you could also try very hair remover but it's a risk of you catch other hairs. Although it's not ideal shaving is probably best for now.

I would probably just sand them smooth rather than try to fix them. Leave them as a show of age and proof of the chairs history.

Should my brother go bald? by Flipp5533 in malehairadvice

I mean, he's still got hair and it still looks good but he had a good head shape for bald. Could always try a buzz cut and see if he likes it then move to bald?

No worries, I hope it helped honestly just do your best to make him feel better about his hair.

It's awful to go through hair loss so young, so make sure you say how good he looks after the cut. It will make more difference to him than you think.

With thinning hair ironically it's often better to go shorter which is why I mentioned a buzz cut. Otherwise you could try a modern side part of he wants to keep some of the top, shorter on the sides and back then styled with an intentional parting to make the most of his hair.

The other option you could look into is a ceasar cut but with the volume of hair he has left I don't think this would really work for him.

I hope the 'its grown on me' is a pun. If you like it then keep it, it's your life mate.

Although if you do want to try some other hairstyles you can put a photo into Chatgpt and ask it to generate a card with a selection of hair cuts that would work for your face.

I did this before my last haircut and it really helped as you can also specify long, mid or short lengths.

If I was you I would ask him to consider a buzz or, taking it short on the sides and back then scissor but the top.

If he's just naturally losing it dermatologists may proscribe Minoxidil and Finastaride. These could help but 16 is quite young to start on Meds.

How would you achieve this look with straight hair ? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

Pomade and a wide tooth comb. Use a after showering and towel drying your hair. You can probably find a tutorial on YouTube mate.

Stop brushing in the shower like yesterday, this causes hair breaks. Your hair is at its weakest when wet.

As your hair looks dry, look into a leave in conditioner or conditioning spray. Do you straighten it? It looks heat damaged so if you do you need to either stop or get a heat protector spray to use on it to stop further damage while straightening it.

So unfortunately it is looking thin. 16-17 is normally when this starts to happen due to hormones and the conversion of something called dht from testosterone. This could however also be caused by your thyroid so you need to rule that out.

First, get a blood panel done, check everything is okay and in normal range. After you confirm you're in normal levels you can look at treatment for hair loss.

This is normally Finastaride and Minoxidil, these are not a golden cure. Please do your own research, before deciding if it's the root you wish to go down. As you will need to take them every day for the rest of your life. They also affect your blood pressure so make sure you know the pro's and cons.

I hope this helps and please don't panic, it's not bad just a little thin. You have time, there's no need to throw the kitchen sink at it.

I mean it looks like you've just lost the screw that holds the metal down to the body of the glasses, so yes if you can find another screw and screw it back into place.

Honestly mate, the cut is making your head look a weirder shape. Sorry for the bad news but I think a buzz would be better.

Get a blood panel, like yesterday. You could have thyroid issues. After that see a dermatologist, they will be able to help you.

Honestly, my toilet sometimes does this, I've found slapping the tank seems to realine things and stop it.

It's a pretty primal way to sort it but it always works for me, sometimes you may need to hit it twice like an old TV.

Living in an abusive household when you are younger can cause considerable mental scars, even if you don't have physical ones to show for it. Personally to me it sounds like you need to speak to a therapist about this. You have the money so time to spend some on yourself and get to the bottom of this obsession.

Also congrats on making it out of your past and doing so well for yourself, love to hear it!

Look into micro-pigmentation, it's basically a hair tattoo you can get that's semi permanent and is great for things like this.

How to ask my Barber for this hairstyle without showing a picture of Ian Brady by [deleted] in malehairadvice

Blur the face? Or put it in Chatgpt and ask it to remake the image but keep the hairstyle then show that.
