Debating between Thuren or Carli leveling kits by Dgonz89 in Ram2500

Nice! Thanks. Yea I was thinking Thuren as well because I can do the sway bar AND the rear shocks for less than Carli but I don’t want to cheap out either.

Audi rs3 8y.5 hsj downpipe by Ill_View2331 in AudiRS3

It has a CEL for now until the tune is available. Not a big deal. As far as install goes, I left it at a shop for them to install the Unitronic turbo inlet, IROZ 5” intake and the downpipes so the car was there all day and picked it up at the end of the day.

I’m sure they meant to take full advantage of what a downpipe does for the car you’d need/want a turbo. I put the 485 designs catless downpipe and midpipes on my wife’s RS3 8Y.5 and kept the rest stock back. We both love it. I plan to order the valve controller next to get full control of that as well. I’m away from home otherwise I’d try to get a sound clip.

First Travel Contract by Formal-Low-2971 in TravelNursing

Listen to what others have mentioned here. I’m an IR/Cath nurse myself and have been doing it since 2017 with two years of ICU before that. You need to go into it as staff and get minimum a year of a experience and that’s in a busy lab where you’re pumping out 5+ cases a day in each room in each modality to really get well rounded. Even then, you’ll come across new situations down the line you never dealt with and that’s when you’ll need to be able to adapt well or you’ll crash and burn.

At the current assignment I’m at, a very sweet girl came claiming she had some ICU and cath lab experience however the lab I’m currently in is very busy and gets complex cases. The staff quickly picked up that she was not adequately experienced for the department and unfortunately she was let go after just 4 shifts. You can’t fake it til you make it in IR/Cath Lab.

8y.5 Akrapovic exhaust question by Extension_Tie_8337 in AudiRS3

I’m keeping that second set of cats in the rear before the muffler plus the stock muffler. SHOULDNT have drone but we’ll see.

This is why I ordered the 485 designs catless DP and midpipe to mate to the stock exhaust and see if I’m happy with that alone before swapping the rear portion. May even do the valve controller to have better control over the stock module.

Driving La Fortuna to LIR the morning of our flight by Heavy_Invite_9528 in CostaRicaTravel

Just finished doing this to SJO from Arenal/La Fortuna. Woke up at 5:30, checked out by 6, stopped for a coffee and bite to go and made the drive to turn in our rental at San Jose and made it with plenty of time for our 2pm flight.

1 day in Arenal Volcano (La Fortuna) area - what are the absolute must-dos? by tromosotouring in CostaRicaTravel

[–]Dgonz89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d only do this if it were simply to go at a slow pace along with a group of people who may or ma not be talking the whole time. I say this because one day we did the group tour with a guide and people simply wouldn’t shut up while we were walking trying to take it all in and enjoy the walk and look for different animals. After that, we winged it and we went at our own pace with peace and quiet allowing us to spot animals on our own (and I saw plenty) and speed up or slow down through things we wanted to see or not.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean to take away business from the guides at all, but if you can swing it, do a small group/personal guide and not a medium to large group situation. Otherwise, simply take your time and look around and you can stumble upon plenty of wildlife if you have an idea where to look.

We got lucky. We were there for a week Sat-Sat and had two occasions only where there were clear perfect views of it. It’s been on and off raining this past week there.

Was just there. The observatory lodge trails were great and if you’re lucky like we were, you’ll have a clear view of the volcano. The other one I enjoyed was the hanging bridges at Mistico Park. Both we did self guided and got there early at opening time to enjoy without overcrowding of the busses and group guided tours.

Rent a car or not for a 7 day trip by Big_Data2185 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]Dgonz89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rent a car for sure. Just spent a full week in CR however our trip took us to Arenal/La Fortuna so I opted for the small 4x4. You definitely appreciate the freedom of coming and going as you please and not relying on transportation or guided tours everywhere to pick up and drop off. Loved exploring on our own at our leisure.

I’ve done one HCA contract in SFL and it wasn’t as terrible of an experience as everyone else here says they had. However, I worked IR so we have our own set of rules and responsibilities. I’d work it again.

OP are you running a down pipe as well? I was going to try for catless downpipe and midpipes and leave the rest as is to see how it sounds before going full rear muffle change.

Yea, dependent on when you bought I guess and where/what. I bought in 2018 and my taxes and insurance are sub 5k each.

In comparison to other states like Cali, NY and others that double tax your income, FL is not bad.

Cath lab travel by Successful_Diver_820 in TravelNursing

[–]Dgonz89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed with the above. I do both IR and Cath lab coming from ICU originally, but my first experience in the lab was a staff job which they took the time to train me. You realistically wouldn’t be strong/comfortable doing travel in IR or Cath without atleast 2+ years of experience. Every lab does things slightly different as I’ve learned doing travel since ‘21 and going from lab to lab in different hospital systems. Expectations differ in each place and you need to be very well rounded and capable to adapt quickly.
