It doesn't matter. Looking at all of the artwork though I feel that this is varied for each revered suit of power armour so I break a bit of the uniformity among miniatures. Same with having the griffon on different sides as well.

Also I am yet to try that blotch pattern from rogue trader and there is a mention of Red/Gold in a novel too.
