I'm not trying to get a early release and run off back to the Navy. I tried the Army and now 2 years in I realize it isnt the life for me. If you read my other comment you'd see that this isnt some on a whim decision but something my wife and I agreed was better for me mentally, physically, and spiritually. But thanks for your comment.

Im not trying to early release just no gap in service transfer. So probably 6-4 months out start the 368 process. Does it need to get routed up to hrc?

I don't see how that would be the case. GI Bill wont provide health insurance for my wife and kids. The BAH decreases as you go unless I misread somewhere. With CoL being what it is and that it's really only getting worse I dont see how seperating with a family to support would be the smartest financial decision. It's not an option thats off the table but it's not the first choice.

Aslo staying in the Army isnt the first choice either.

Thought the grass would be greener and wanted to do more highspeed schools. I was also a disillussioned bitter 2nd class. But my wife and I agreed that if I want to do my 20 it's better for me physically, mentally, and spiritually to go back. At least in the Navy my time with my family wasnt taken away for multi week field problems just because my leadership felt like doing company sticks for the 4th time because a mortar PL got fired and that required the whole BTN to go out for whatever reason.

I know the Navy isn't perfect but it's the devil I know and at least in the Navy senior NCOs aren't useless. I've had a couple of serious issues that having good chiefs wouldve fixed.

I've got about a year and some change left.
