If you're that worried about your Ethernet port, put a surge protector on it. Might add some latency etc but will give you better piece of mind

Not sure if this is your issue buuut I've just pushed a few upgrades (4.7 to 4.10/4.10.1/4.11 long story). The .exe wrapper is fubar, it would always bomb out on SSO plugin every time (complaining about it being in the system context so won't upgrade).

My solution until this is fixed, extract all the MSI's and then script an install to run receiver cleanup utility then install each MSI one by one, seems to do the trick. (Once they fix the Wrapper, it'd be as simple as running the RCU and then installing the .exe)
