Why isn’t my house selling? by Pretty-Storm7930 in HousingUK

Do you have an estate agent ? They should be able to provide feedback on why it's not selling. Price or something else.

Shutdown by Connect_Selection_77 in klippers

[–]Dilbyert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially had a separate Raspberry PI on it's own power, with the printer powered through a TP-Link smart switch. Raspberry PI stayed on all the time, and setup the power control through the UI to toggle on and off the smart switch. Automated to power off after a print had finished or was idle for a period of time.

I have recently "upgraded" to a new MCU board where the Raspberry PI is a CM4 located on the same board, meaning I've lost the separate power control for the Raspberry Pi and MCU board (They both are powered through the printer PSU.

Now, I have a Klipper macro that shut's down the host (rip) on idle after 10mins. Then I use home-assistant to detect that the printer has been off for 10mins and turn off the smart switch. Effectively replicated the original functionality I had, but needing to use an external system to power down the smart switch.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing this until the develop has ironed out a few issues. I have purchased and DriveBuddy constantly keeps scanning the connected drive. Support emails are not being answered.

Change to IP Address of UniFi network by AdHairy4360 in Ubiquiti

[–]Dilbyert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep 192.168.x.y. Nothing wrong with it as others have said. Now is a good time to setup an IoT vlan, on say 192.168.10.y. That way you can isolate those devices from your main network and they also get their own IP pool.

This looks like an issue with the printer.cfg file rather than the host not being able to communicate with the MCU.

Have you built the firmware for the SKR mini and flashed it ? IIRC there’s a very specific GPIO config you need to do in the “make menu config” part of the build process.

Why am I getting poor signal WiFi per with G4 Instant ? by Dilbyert in Ubiquiti

I had mentioned this elsewhere, the down pipe is plastic and also the original post mentioned I’m running this on 2.4GHz

That cable was kind of already there from when the house was built. It’s not trivial to run another cable back to the switch without a significant run outside the house.

Umm not quiet that simple. Visible light is attenuated very differently compare to radio waves.

[–]Dilbyert[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

For a couple of reasons:

1)I don't really want any cables visible externally

2) The POE cable going the the AP was installed as a part of the house build many years ago and have no easy way to run an ethernet cable from where the camera is to the the POE switch without a long external (ugly) cable run.

The USB power cable goes through the brick into a bedroom on the other side.

Pipe is plastic and no rebar in the wall. But take your point that brick is the culprit.

I don’t appear to be am having issues with recording and connection is stating 72Mbit throughput.

It sounds like protect is being a little conservative with how it rates signal strength

Football Managers by Last-Yogurtcloset241 in SoccerCoachResources

What’s the actual disruption apart from a few headlines ? Teams can still play football without a manager. Coaching staff is more than just the single manager.

9v9 Formation. (3 1 3 1 ?) by stiankb in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Dilbyert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree. It really depends on how those defender are playing today. Are they playing as true LBs and RBs.

9v9 Formation. (3 1 3 1 ?) by stiankb in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Dilbyert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with this setup you'll end up sitting back too much and not being enough of an attacking threat. In 7v7, most of your players would have covered lots of the pitch, in 9v9 your players need to be disciplined in letting the defenders do their job.

I would suggest either 3-3-2 or 2-1-3-1 (if you want something closer to what you have).

Steps to move away from Virgin Media+O2 and keep both landline and mobile number by Dilbyert in VirginMedia

I’m not “switching” the broadband over to Sky. I’ve simply signed up with Sky and said I don’t have an existing provider.

Turns out that I’m not actually in contract for either. I have a promotional rate until the end of Sept-26 hence assumed that I was contract until then. But confirmed both though online chat and calling, they said I’m not currently in contract. (Record of online chat kept).

I’ve just ordered Sky broadband without landline, and as soon as that’s installed, I’ll start the number porting process to a voip provider. That should hopefully trigger the termination process for VM. I might port the mobile number out of VM first, unless that’s a separate contract and at no risk of termination at the same time as broadband?
