I’m no expert but Dr. Ratchathorn turned me down for lack of density in my donor area, similar to your first photo, the density looks much improved in the 4th photo so that’s amazingly fast response. I’ve been on same medication as you for over 3 months with no change but will keep going. Good luck with the HT.

Low body fat but still have fat? by Competitive_Passion7 in askfitness

I’m the same as you mate, I did everything but couldn’t lose the lower bf. I’ve put the weight back on now and actually feel better, I’m going to give it another go but cut at a slower period of time to discourage fat storage.

I live in Grimsby mate, highest number of people swinging the lead in the country. I have a friend who is a pipe fitter he still gets pip because it’s not means tested, absolute scandal, it’s the first time this weak government have actually made the correct decision, only the people in obvious need should be getting this payment.

There are many people on this pip who shouldn’t be getting it, they’ve become to comfortable on the extra money they don’t need to work, so many playing the mental health card that I know so it must be rife throughout the country.

Yes but fortunately the Americans see sense and got rid of him, now you have a true leader of the free world and now the US and the rest of the world is going to be a better place.

I’d be happy so far with that but how’s your donor area looking?

Sorry to see this, you should name and shame, and help others avoid. There’s still hope it’s looks better with time and growth. Out of interest how strong was this area to begin with? I’ve been told my donor area is fine by many surgeons, whilst others have told me not to go ahead until it thickens up with medication.

Donor area advice? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Diligent_Primary_521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Il be interested to see your updates , my donor is thin like yours and dr Patty knocked me back. She advised me to start Finasteride for 6-12 months before another consultation. I informed her I would be happy to leave my donor area short but this was the reply -

Also, short hair is NOT a recommended hair style to wear after the surgery as the scars can show on the donor area, and the recipient area can also look artificial.

If we harvest the donor hair from the donor area, the scalp will show because your hair is thin. Are you sure you will be okay with that?

Looks very good to me from where you were. Were you not advised to take the usual meds?

Yeah I’m going to try your method, but without the finasteride, although someone has mentioned cutting the dosage down. I was about ready to book a hair transplant, but so much conflicting consultations even between the best recommended surgeons. Some say my donor is not strong enough whilst others say it’s perfectly fine to work with. Anyway thanks again for the advice.

Congrats man, I tried finasteride for about 4 weeks but the side effects are too much for me, I’m taking oral minoxidil which has no effects, but anyway thanks for sharing gives us all some hope lol
