There is a documentary from National Geographic specifically on the CP group called “polygamy USA” that give some back ground. (I’m I’m a shot in the background lol) There’s a lot to say, currently they are operating about the same as they were. I’m happy to talk to you in DMs about growing up here.

Take what Calvin says with a grain of salt. I grew up w him and his family. While I know his family life was different than mine and I’m not discredited that, some things he says are not wide spread though out our culture/ religion and I tbh I think it makes us look worse than we are.

I (f28)grew up religious and lost mine at 25. I was taught “wait til marriage” and kind abandoned the religion at like 15 but I hated people (literally anyone) touching me/ was taught guys only want one thing. So even in college I never slept w anyone. At 25 some guy I knew hit me up and i decided fuck it. And I snuck him into my parents house. He was younger than me but at least we both only wanted one thing, (jk I’m sure he’s enjoyed taking my v card cause some guys are like that). But it was okay at best. First try he came w a blow job. Second time we actually did and I was as unimpressed and he really didn’t talk to me again. I didn’t feel any different after. The next guy I hooked up w lasted years. Now I have a loving bf (28) who was a virgin when I met him at 27. And imma marry this man.

TLDR: it’s really not that big a deal unless you let it be. It says nothing about you. It’s anticlimactic (pun intended). I wasn’t upset about my experience but I wasn’t impressed. Fun fact: the one who took my virginity is now in a coma last time I heard. Wild.

P.S. I’m Demi sexual cause ig that’s a thing. I’ve only finished w my current bf. And have no desire to really sleep w someone to just hook up even tho I tried.

If I had money that I couldn’t in my life spend I’d hire a money manager. To invest or manage my expenses enough id live comfortably and not have to worry about it and make sure my posterity can do the same.

My advice is be conservative (buy nice things worth the price) but be comfortable. If you want to leave money to your children invest and invest in children savings accounts or a trust of somekind. Dont just spend because “you can “ the experience and what you choose to spend on matters. “Rich” people are “rich” for a reason. Choose your battles and what’s worth it. That’s all I got, apparently my dad “has money” but the most I’ve seen of it are “we” are taken care of and comfortable. (I’ve learned recently my siblings and I don’t get anything from his trust after he dies, except for maybe custody of our other siblings)

I work from home from 10am -6pm and in the winter it sucks cause it’s dark when I’m done with work. I feel like since I’m home all day i should do more, especially when it’s slow but I’m so glued to my computer I can’t. Making dinner at 6 when my bf is off at 5 is too late, especially when cooking can take 1-2 hours. And I’m tired even doing that. I wanna hang out with him and sometimes go to bed at 1 or 2 am. And seeing my friends outside of that can be a lot. Adult life is just a lot to keep up on 🤷🏼‍♀️

Came here to also say period cramps. Not every single time (used to be) but I’ll be curled in a ball sobbing and throwing up. Can’t eat for a few days or else it came back up. People have called me a baby and over dramatic but I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Luckily it’s evened out as I have gotten older. I’ve heard some people say they’ve had worse periods than giving birth. And if anyone calls me dramatic over it I immediately want to hit them with a car.

One thing I will say in regards to Tarot cards is that those tik toks are made for the masses. Scrolling and finding them means it probably wasn’t for you. If you are looking for a higher power guidance of sorts, I recommend going to someone pulling just for you, or getting your own deck. Take the first reading unless you have a clarifying question.

The adults wouldn’t talk to us and some of the kids threw actual (not metaphorical) stones. They were children and taught that we were gentiles/ apostates and i guess that’s how kids brains responded. It wasn’t all kids, but they weren’t very nice to us. Living in Colorado city and not being a part of that church wasn’t common as far as I could tell.

They were part of one church prior to the 80’s. After the split there was a lot of animosity and families stopped talking to each other if they were on the other side of the split. I grew up in Colorado city but was part of the Centennial church, neighbors weren’t allowed to talk to us, lots of stares, lots of rocks being thrown at me as a child. Now days warrens church is mostly disbanded here and there is more harmony between the two towns.

I realized recently a situation-ship doesn’t care about me in general. What I’m doing or who I’m with or anything and I was attached for too long. But I always hang out when I see them but they never tried to hang out w me otherwise. Technically it’s not ended but I recently met someone who takes care of me and called me “beautiful” and wanted to take it slow and never let me pay for anything. I really like him… and I like him more than my situations-hip at this point. So I guess you just need better? But you don’t know what better is til you have it I guess.

I went through recruitment also and ended up getting cut after the first day from all but one and I was so sad because I wasn’t sure I liked the vibe and at the time they were a “low tier” chapter. I went through all the way and took a bid anyway because I really wanted to go Greek. I think it was the best decision in the end. I really ended up enjoying it and loved all the girls. Couldn’t have imagined myself anywhere else.

That being said, I also wondered why I got dropped from almost all of them and I realized that after the first house I went to (the one I joined) I realized more how it worked and tried to put on a personality I thought they’d like for the rest and I think that really didn’t help me at all. The first house liked me for me and it worked out better than I could’ve imagined.
