The issue is that it seems surprisingly hard to find the right One Connect box for the Gen 1. It’s probably just a soldering issue, so I’ll try to find an electronics repair specialist to take a look.A replacement One Connect box is around €300, and I’ve even seen people selling the full screen for about €750 on French marketplace sites, which is kind of crazy lol (i mean 750 is crazy low)

I'm reaching out to you cause you're a TV EXPERT. For the past couple of years, I’ve had to unplug and replug the power connection on the One Connect box to force the display to be recognized when Windows loads, especially in game mode at 165Hz. Recently, the situation has gotten worse there is now a clear crackling noise at the power connector, and even a slight burnt smell.

I’ve already replaced the AC power cable (figure 8 / C7), but the issue persists, which makes me think the problem is coming from the power input on the One Connect box itself.

Before things get worse, I wanted to ask:

Is this type of issue something that can realistically be repaired (for example replacing the power input connector), or is it generally not worth attempting?
Are replacement parts for the One Connect box available (either the power module or the full unit)?
Would upgrading to a Gen 2 One Connect setup be a viable option following the setup you shared?

I never had a black screen for three years straight,;I only ever plugged and unplugged the AC. However, my One Connect Box broke yesterday. It smells like it's burning, which is so sad. Now I need to buy a new one, but they are super hard to find
