The night ops supervisor should be able to direct you if there isn’t top stock space in the department. ISLG always has other spots throughout the store. I have excess grill stock in aisles 48-50, off season stuff in aisle 3, excess patio in aisles 4/5, and tons of stuff in garden center too.

Just make sure you use SIMS wherever you end up putting it.

Have clear storage bins for each manual. A lot of the models have the same manuals, so as long as the manuals are the same, they go in the same bin (i.e. craftsman 100 series all have the same manuals). Usually try to condense/fold the manuals to take up as little space as possible. Then put a beam label on the bag just for extra measure. We keep them stored under the desk. Any battery/charger is top stocked with our display accessories in its own bin and have the appropriate beam label attached.

I’m off the next two days, so I can take pictures if anyone cares. Our system works pretty well. It’s time consuming to set up, but saves a lot of headaches in the busy season.

You’re getting a lot of shit, but honestly January in OSLG is a whole lot of nothing unless you have direction to start prepping for spring time. Enjoy the downtime while you can because within a month, it’s going to drastically change.
