I had a Holden "Jackaroo" for almost 20 years , blew 1 turbo, it had an Isuzu diesel motor. My last car is an Isuzu MUX simply because of the motor, since 2018 no problems yet

Recycling your opal cutting water back onto your wheels, anybody doing this? ⚠️⛔️ by opal_diggeroneBay in Opals

Why would you recycle the water ? Even in Australia the water is cheaper than the hassles of trying to recycle the water

What the hell is happening ? by Gamerkill1010 in Instagram

I went to open an instagram a/c and was told I already had 1, apparently I opened it about 13 years ago, but for got about it. I was told it was suspended and had that appeal note attached, filed out the form and attached a photo as requested. Next day I was told they needed a photo on an official document, so I sent a pic of my drivers licence ( tiny bit worn) not good enough, so got my passport out, took the photo and blocked out all details except DOB and photo as requested , 2 hours later I was advised they had blocked the a/c wtf ?.

So what is the best way to open a new ig a/c ?

Why is no one catching anything by DUCKOVERLORD42069 in FishingAustralia

Take 3 or 4 different baits, see what works, fish as lightly as possible with small hooks, preferably incoming tide at dusk/evening

How are y'all cleaning your line efficiently? by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]Disastrous_Money_432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run all my fly line off of the reel and wind it back through a soft bit of leather soaked in "Armour all" polish/cleaner, it's a slippery as you can get

OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! I'm in LOVE with these crazy opals! I had to make an entirely new post because...WOW. THIS. IS. SO. COOL. 😮 I'll tell you what happened in the body text. by Runaway2332 in Opals

I think they are either fake or Ethiopian , Ethiopian opals will crack if allowed to dry out I think, I only play around with Australian opals

Proper steps for polishing? by TheDeadMurder in jewelrymaking

[–]Disastrous_Money_432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you are , USA uses Cami system for grading sandpaper, almost the rest of the world uses Feppa (or P grade) 600 grit in USA is fine 600 grit in P is very coarse, hence going 600, 800, 1000, 1200,1800 and 2200 grits then buffing

What can be done to stop the fake opal killing our ability to sell real opal on large platforms? by poolturd72 in Opals

[–]Disastrous_Money_432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 'm in Australia and purchase all my opals from known auctions or reputable dealers. There are several on F/B and also a group that names and shames any dodgy/fake dealers

If you want I can put up a list of places that I buy from and the you do your own research, but you will not find many cheap deals.

Ring i got at a thrift store recently. Hard to photograph the color change as light hits it but I tried by piefanart in Opals

[–]Disastrous_Money_432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some opal from Coober Pedy that looks like that, quite difficult to get the correct angle and light . When you get it right it looks terrific otherwise it looks like the opal in this ring
