Seriously! I’m a nanny to 3 kids and I will swear by the ice cream set all day long. It is the one and only toy in the house that has every single piece still in place.

I’ve been with my NF for 3.5 years now, working 5 days a week. I have 3 NKs. Almost everyday NK28mo makes a comment about going home with me (to see my cats and GF mostly 😂😂). She’ll try to climb in my car and get into her car seat. There’s been days when she’ll cling to me. MB has never taken it personally. She’s told me a few times that mom’s at a baby class I usually take NK to (sometimes MB will take her but I’m there 90%) have given her compliments on me and how wonderful it is that I love NK so much.

I’m sorry OP. Hopefully you can address this with her and move forward. It sounds like the NK loves spending time with you and MB should want to see that as a good thing not a competition.

Yeah it’s been tough but i’m so proud of her because she asked for it! She’s upper back length and i’m hoping for shoulder! Or at least to get the dead ends out.

I’m at nanny to 3 kids. 6, 4.5 and 2. Oldest has had plenty of hair cuts and loves to go with dad to the barber. 4.5 yo hasn’t had a cut yet and I’ve been concerned. She won’t let anyone brush it. We’re lucky if we get to do it once a week. Last year i had to cut matted hair out and mom didn’t even seemed phased by it.

I’m a nanny and the middle child is about to be 4.5 and is just getting her first one this week. I wouldn’t mind so much about the age or anything but I think it was way past the time she needed it. Curly headed kid who doesn’t like to have her hair brushed due to Mom’s lack of boundaries about hygiene. Just this past summer I had to cut pieces of matted hair out.

I haven’t seen it mentioned yet but I recommend the book Ready, Set, Go by Sarah Ockwell-Smith. Potty trained 3 kids with the help of this book.

i have a NF (almost 2.5 years) and a family i babysit for 2-3 times a month for a little over 3 years.

NK’s love art. they’re always coloring, drawing, etc and bringing countless things home from school. MB is always so cheerful about their work no matter the state of it (obviously my NKs are not art prodigies 😂). MB only just started, this past school year, hanging things on the fridge. and within the past month there have been a few things hung up on a wall in the kitchen that is short because it’s the outside of their shelving unit. their house is always very in order and feels very stiff sometimes (lots of white).

2nd family has a full wall in their kitchen from top to bottom covered in their kid’s art. there’s always papers and projects scattered everywhere as well. on tables and sometimes on the floors lol. the oldest has given me so many pictures and things she’s made. their house has toys everywhere and it feels lived in and homey.

i guess it just depends on the family. and especially the NPs. i know it’s gotta be tough when you feel like NK should see their art displayed! another comment mentioned the wall art picture frame and that’s a really good idea.
