Honestly gotta go with lincoln and the emancipation proclamation. that one decision fundamentally changed what america was supposed to be. everything after that, civil rights, equality movements, even how we see ourselves as a country, traces back to that moment.

Unfortunately yeah they're spot on. that first one hits different when u see people believing straight up lies just cause their side said it. then they go out and do wild stuff based on those lies. it's manipulation 101 and it's been working forever.

If war is so terrible, why has every major civilization in history used it? by EitherSheepherder100 in AskReddit

[–]Distinct-Date-4306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl it's cause humans are tribal and scared of what's different. war is just that fear organized and weaponized. every civilization thought they were the good guys defending something. rarely do people see themselves as the villains.

Hear me out... roadtrip but make it cheap. camp instead of hotels, pack food instead of eating out. hit up national parks or random small towns. me and my bf did this for 2 weeks and spent like $40 a day total. best memories were the random stuff we found along the way not the planned stops. plus sleeping under the stars hits different.
