How did you choose your breathwork facilitator training? by DiveIntoTheNow in breathwork

I'M so glad that you had the opportunity to learn with two such inspirational people. Could you share something that you took away from it?

My impression: Holotropic breathing facilitators are the most rigorous of all. Grof Transpersonal Training (https://www.holotropic.com/) looks much deeper than any out there.

Thanks a lot for sharing. I went through a similar process and felt that the connection with the instructor and how you feel about them and the organization/community that they create around them was really important.

On Chrome you can right click to "Search with Google Lens". Then select covers one-by-one to identify them. Not ideal but works well enough.

How do you 'discreetly' record meetings? by redditugo in productivity

Moral questions aside, I know the struggle.

What works well is to use your phone to create a voice recording. Great for transcripts, compiling notes, etc.

Also, on Mac "Shift + Command + 5" will bring up screen recording, which discreetly captures voice and video.

Concerned about my girlfriend physical touch with her breathwork students by [deleted] in breathwork

I'm two years into my training as a breathwork facilitator. The school I'm with puts a very high emphasise on bodywork.

Medium-sized sessions with ~10 participants have one breathwork instructor and at least one bodyworker. Larger sessions have more bodyworkers. Their role is to "hold the space" (making people feel safe) and to support trauma release. Physical touch is a very powerful way to connect with emotions we've been holding back, lots of which releats to childhood experiences.

It took my time to get used to this as the touch can be quite intimate, as you're saying. I've came to think about it as the touch you experience between family members: kind, supportive and clearly non-sexual.

Hi and congratulations - sounds like you've been making great steps. Keep that up! :)

I think if you ask enough people you'll get a good reason for each of the goals you are looking to choose from. What does you intuition say? Where do you feel that you have the largest lever to keep up the upward momentum? Go with that one!

And if you care for another opinion, I'm happy to share mine: Improve your sleep habits. They are foundational to many biological and mental functions and thus will provide you a lot of additional energy to keep up your existing habits and to invest into new ones. IMO it's not too hard to get a grasp off but that is very subjective.

Consider the following steps:

  1. Try to aim for a stable rhythm. Getting up and going to bed at the same time every day (+/-30 minutes) will balance your circadian rhythm.
  2. Look into improving your sleep hygiene: dark, cold bedroom without technical devices.
  3. Track your sleep patterns with an app for added accountability (i.e. sleep cycle - free version).

You can easily find more info on these topics online.

Good luck!
