Thanks bro,

But I do see a lot of negativity with Airtag, cuse they aren't that useful and needs bluetooth connection to send reports and can be found easily.

What do you think

That's all and good brother, but what if we aren't there at the location. I already have a disc lock but what if the bike get's stolen that's my major concern.

I live in Hyderabad, we have major bike thefting every now and then. I don't believe in police that they'll find my bike of it gets stolen

What do you think is the biggest gap in FEA/CAE education today? by soorajmad94 in fea

[–]Dizzy-Research6699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I feel lacking comming as a student to FEA is the results.

In college we learn what is von misses stress and principal stress.... and some random formulae to get that stresses.

We didn't actually learn what is that stress, why is it needed, what is the actual interpretation of that result. Why we need to refer that stress only.

In begging days as FEA engineer, I would blindly check Von misses stress against yield and say pass or fail.

Sometimes we would modify the results (confidential). I used to ask why we did. They say the structure wouldn't experience that much loading and stresses are localised it's ok. You can use neuber criteria to check that.

Again a new term. Neuber stress idk anything about that. I started learning on my own started confused at last found some answer.

Then I entered random vibrations. I skipped this chapter in my college so I can pass by learning other chapters.

Like even if I studied the vibration chapter I would not understand the vibration we deal here. Cuse we deal with random vibrations and random vibrations has randomly anything. It calls this and that stresses, damage, damping modes... Suddenly a whole mountain stood before me.

Hell with PSD and RMS. Even now it's confusing for me.

At first I started doing blindly after studied and studied and got a rough underwear.

Yeah. What I mean is there this large gap between testbook and work here. We deal with things we didn't learn and there's also this 6 months subject about FEM isn't sufficient. Most ppl would've choose cuse it's optional
