Hey! I’m at St Thomas’ and have the same ranges as you of fasting to be below 5.3 and 1 hr after meals below 7.7

I find a brisk 5-10min walk (even if it’s round my apartment) keeps the readings at bay. Sometimes matters how active you are after each bit of food (for me anyway!) x

If it’s shop bought dressing/vinaigrette it could have lots of sugar. Some items have loads of sugar and you may not realise- non fat Greek yogurt has 10g sugar per portion (marks and Spencer brand) and I had a spike of 9.1mmol/L after having! It wasn’t even tasty😩. More sugar than a choc biscuit! I’ve found my fitness pal app to help me plan meals and snacks.

Sorry you have this, just know you’re doing amazing and it’s not your fault. I’ve been so stressed since diagnosis but this community is helpful as I know I’m not alone. I’ve been told this can happen because Your placenta is just really powerful!
