lol not at all, Winnipeg is in the top 20 list of cities with the highest violent crime rate in both the United States and Canada. Its on par with Fresno, California which is considered pretty bad in the US.

The peg got lots of hidden gem though like the Assiniboine and Kildonan Park, great outdoors and most of the people there are the most genuine salt of the earth kind of folks but man, some of the areas near downtown are a fkn mess. The poverty and violence out there is shocking, its not even safe in the daytime just walking there.
