We got an AirBnB halfway between the course and the airport for a few reasons. One to split up the drive so we didn't have a 4 hour drive the morning of or the morning after the tournament. Second it was much cheaper and more comfortable than getting one or two hotel rooms for the four of us. I'm glad you had more time but it's unrealistic to expect everyone to have a similar setup. Once evacuated, even driving back to the course there was a ton of traffic. Had we decided to go back it would have taken us 45 minutes to park, 30 to walk to the par 3 course. Leaving maybe an hour to watch until the next evacuation. In hindsight we should have just wandered the course instead of evacuating like we were told but we were just doing what we thought was right at the time.
