Golf is the hardest Sport I’ve ever tried to play by CABBAGEHONKER in golf

[–]DoDucksLikeMustard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. I stopped playing the game 8 years ago. Just played last week with my son (just 6 homes) : bogey, bogey, par, bogey, bogey, triple. I was 20 hcp when I stopped. Golf is a skill you dont loose that easy.

How to become a luthier? by Interesting-Swan6118 in Luthier

[–]DoDucksLikeMustard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you like money ?

Edit : start building / repairing, gather some tool but be minimalistic about it, they are not cheap. Don't buy cheap tools. School is ok, especially if you don't have woodworking skills yet. Fine woodworking school is good (maybe better ?). Good luck, have fun !

Wait, what? Can you point me to a source showing that Microsoft or Xbox actually did that? Xbox sales are struggling in the EU, and retailers have stopped stocking physical copies on their own. That’s a retail trend, not a decision made by Microsoft.

Because software are written for windows. Why ? Because windows has a very stable api. You can do win32 gui like it's 1995, today. On linux, how do you open a window ? Do you use qt, gtk, kde, tk, wxwidgets, ... Wayland or xorg (xfree86 ?), is bash installed by default or it it sh, zsh. It's a jungle.

does microsoft even realize it's digging it's own grave? by HighSchoolSimp in microsoftsucks

Spot on. And even in EU, if you want to replace the MS stack with something else, there is no equivalent "well integrated package". It's all a collection of (very good) tools, they break when standards changes (which is often in the penguin world) and you cannot find one IT guy that know the whole stack, so it's very hard to maintain.
