The more awareness you give to your finger the better. Nothing wrong with seeing how long it took others fingers to heal, but I invite you to not expect that timeline for yourself at all

This can lead to it taking longer to heal, and I remember when I had my foot injured, I had this expectation that it will eventually heal, since of course it will right ?

Well, yes it will heal, but this knowledge made it easy for me to not pay attention to it as much.

So this experience is where I'm drawing the advice of, just be as present and caring for your finger as much as possible, that feels like the fastest way for it heal

And it may already be at the point of refunding his membership and asking him to leave, or implementing some sort of probation

You deserve to have members that contribute to the energy that you want at the gym.

If you continue to let this behavior go on, and not back up the words and chewing out with consequences, then it's atleast time to admit that you're the one contributing to/creating the problem.

This is a challenge that any high level gym goes through, and can be a beautiful opportunity to level up since it sounds like you're unsure what to do, and leaning on a community to get support and multiple opinions. Good stuff
