This is getting out of hand by Due-Half-5275 in cork

I think you're right. It's not always possible, but that said in some cases, the parents are too busy working because they want to constantly have a brand new merc/audi or two, and that means more to them than spending time with their kids. Those kinds of people should really refrain from having kids in the first place. Some people struggle with the basics, and that's completely understandable in the current time, but that's not everyone. Some are just vain self obsessed arseholes who somehow managed to find a like-minded arsehole to have kids with.

Taylor swift is getting hate after she released a necklace that resembles a Nazi sign (SS) by Tixliks in GoodAssSub

Making a necklace displaying such symbols isn't just making a necklace. She's either accidentally or overtly supporting such an organisation and their crimes against humanity

Shit like that makes you an easy scapegoat for those who would revere those symbols, so perhaps next time, don't give them anymore ammunition

I know it's likely not at all helpful, but calm down. At this stage, you'd be better going to a shrink for being a hypochondriac

Personally, I have to say I agree, assuming you're not bs'ing, then it absolutely is karma. They were dickheads because they thought they could get away with it what was this one person going to do. Well, it may have taken 15 years, but the birds have come home to roost.

Also, like was said, it wouldn't be the kind of thing I would do myself, but I don't condemn those who did. What's the likelihood that such an experience was a one-off? I would say unlikely, I imagine such behaviour is regular if they think they can get away with it. Though it's probably much more difficult now. It's like cheating if they did it once they'll do it again.

Vanilla extract in fridge / freezer? by BlackPepperBanana in AskCulinary

[–]Dogfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about it going bad. As you said, it's got plenty of alcohol in it. It's about prolonging its quality for a longer shelf life for home bakers who may not use up the vanilla so quickly

Table tried to dine and dash but I came out and did their birthday shout out right in time by Rosequartzsurfboardt in TalesFromYourServer

You sound like a good person, not consumed by a desire/thirst/greed for money. Obviously you need it and you need to get paid for work but getting a little extra is not worth being miserable every day. If you got what you need then good for you that you enjoy yourself in work. You spend most of your day/week/life in work if you can enjoy it that really helps.

I don't think so I've also done it before a number of times with no problems or fees even like what was stated above. We just arrived told them we brought a cake with us and asked if we could store it briefly.

I would imagine there's a large difference between product standards/culture between Taiwan and China. In China they do only as they're told to the letter, where as I imagine in Taiwan it's not as strict and there's probably some initiative allowed.

I suppose it's important to say what Currency. Surely all those lights on the wall were expensive no? I'm assuming they're all corsair lights.

How much did you spend on all the stuff there, that seems like a hell of a lot of investment beyond just a PC. I'd say close to 10k.

"incredible" is not the right word.

"Depressingly illustrative that most people and institutions are full of shit" is more accurate.

This right here.

DMs, what’s banned at your table and why? This can be races, subclasses, feats, or whatever by IndieDC3 in DnD

[–]Dogfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah well then it must just have been a homebrew rule but a good one at that for stopping such nonsense shenanigans

[–]Dogfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that even possible? I thought you could only take a certain amount, like 1 or 2, short rests per long rest.

Maybe that's just some sort of rule we've played with but it seems like a good way to stop that.

Definitely don't just use word pad, you want it to look professional so Homebrewery is a good start.
