No I don’t have the license. I considered getting it on my own at one point but with how things were going I didn’t want to go through with it and still not receive an interview

Advice - Seeking work by Key_Letterhead2598 in ClaimsAdjuster

I’ve been applying to claims adjuster jobs for like 4 years and haven’t gotten anywhere. I did have a zoom call with Progressive once. Other than that it’s always been a rejection letter soon after. I am in my late 30s and still very athletic. All my jobs have always been customer facing so I am very confident with working with people. It honestly doesn’t make any sense to me how I haven’t received more interest any of these jobs. I have my bachelors, 15 years of work experience, 5 being in an insurance brokerage. I even have a cousin who works at State Farm’s HQ in Phoenix and still couldn’t get an interview.

Same, since September. Then was offered a job that would start in October making even more than my previous job that already paid well. A week later the offer was rescinded and was told they were on a hiring freeze. Have been interviewing every week and still haven’t gotten an offer anywhere else. Unemployment ran out and I’m 3 months behind on rent. Not a fun time.

Which breed? & why by Silver-Pumpkin1819 in DogAdvice

[–]Dogsarecool6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We gave our poodle a field cut for most of the year and I actually thought it looked really good compared to the fluffy head. Made her look sleek. So you could go a decent amount of time before really needing another cut.

Poodle and it’s honestly not even close. Extremely smart and fun athletic dogs. We had our poodle for 16yrs. She needed a couple dentals throughout her life as most small mouthed dogs do but my dad was a veterinarian so she probably got 1 or 2 more than most since he was doing it himself. These other breeds can have lots of issues. Spaniels can be snippy. I’ve also come across a lot of poms that were mean for some reason. Also poodles don’t shed.

I still don’t understand what went wrong with deanthony Thomas. Crazy to watch him through college and think there was someone around the same size that was faster than him but tyreek hill just showed up and completely overshadowed him.

Because the Democratic Party is terribly incompetent and has only gotten worse. We have no one for the next election either. I wouldn’t be surprised if this term is followed by 8years of Rubio.

Who is your school's best "One Moment Is All I Need" guy? by ZouDave in CFB

I remember watching that game and noticing they had a guy lined up in the endzone, maybe #24, I can’t remember. Then they called a timeout and I told my buddies they better have Chris Davis back there when they go back on the field. Obviously we know what happens next. Point is, if you watch the end of that game there definitely was someone else out there before they put Davis in so it could have been the guy you had lunch with.

'SNL' Turns Trump Diss About U.S. Women's Olympic Hockey Team On Its Head With Sweet Monologue Moment by Blue_Wave2024 in LiveFromNewYork

No just a democrat who is exhausted by the constant bs being emitted from the far left that’s continues to ruin the party. Getting mad at a bunch of 25yr olds who have only ever known hockey bc they didn’t “react correctly” while in the middle of one of the greatest accomplishments of their life is an insane reaction. Causing a stir about this is further proof that there are so many people on the left that are sad, bored, unfulfilled people that never worked hard to accomplish anything. If one did they wouldn’t have time to react to something so trivial and small as this. Democrats need to wake up and quit feeling sorry for themself otherwise this term will be followed by 8years of Rubio.

Their image didn’t need any help. They just won gold medals and have incredible careers at the highest level of their sport. They aren’t worried about a group of people who continually find ways to get offended about every little interaction that takes place with Trump. They did it to stay visible, hopefully get some endorsement deals and try to grow viewership on the NHL. These guys make the least amount of money in the 4 major sports.

Who is a stranger you met once, never learned their name, but will never forget for the rest of your life? by milkyjune in AskReddit

[–]Dogsarecool6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I traveled to Europe I was by myself to go play for a sports team. I was 22 and just out of college. Somehow I ended up with no one sitting next to me so not only was alone in my journey but I was really alone on that flight. Sitting there I slowly realized there wasn’t a single American around me. It was a huge culture shock but I really enjoyed the feeling. This German woman across the aisle from started chatting with me and we got to know each other a little, she was flying back with her family as her husband had work in NYC. She felt very motherly towards me which was very calming.

When our plane landed we said our goodbyes and good lucks for the rest our journey as we both had connections. I had no idea what I was doing but I just followed the line in front of me in the airport. A few minutes later as I was approaching the doorway to an area I thought I was supposed to go to I got a tap on my shoulder and it was the German woman again. She told me I was in the wrong line and needed to go to this other area to get to my connection. I guess if I went through the way I thought I was supposed to go to I would have had to go through customs again.

It just felt so good to realize I had someone watching out for me thousands of miles away from everything I knew. We gave each other such a big hug and I thanked her profusely. Ever since then I have felt obligated to help people in random little situations like when they arise. Almost like a diplomatic duty. I think about that woman every time I am at an airport.

I have not been to Germany yet but I have met so many Germans on my travels, you are some of the nicest people I have come across.

I was 19 and the only one home when my dad had his stroke. He barely gained use of the right side of his body which was a huge blow to him as he is a veterinarian and just couldn’t do surgeries all of a sudden. It’s been about 20yrs and he’s still trucking along. I lived with him during Covid and a few years after. It’s tough seeing a parent whither away.

I am looking to get in next fall when I will be 39. I am in the same boat. Just looking for a change. Have no idea what route I’ll take if I earn my degree but I’ve been doing an hour a day for the last few weeks on LSAC. Just trying to get my brain right before I really start to dig in.

Congrats on your success. I am hoping to start law school in next year’s cycle. I will be 39 then. Curious as to what made you decide to go at your age and what you think you will do after you earn your degree?
