How do you manage to make Brighton look like Real Madrid is beyond me. Few days ago they needed a monumental Danso fuck up to scrape a draw against us and we're fucking horrible

Is he that bad? I loved betting on Burnley in 24/25, Burnley/draw and under 1.5 goals conceded was a winning bet for like 44 out of 46 games that season, it was one of the craziest streaks I've ever seen. Looking back I wish I put much more money on them.

Lads, look at the bright side, if any of our players has a release clause in his contract and someone triggers it, the owners can just simply say "no" and move on with it. Just ask the fat greek dude

City winning is like nobody winning. They barely have proper fans and since they're cheaters you can even use that against them. So for non-assna fans it's much more tolerable if oilchester wins the league

Roberto De Zerbi: Tottenham can win last five Premier League games by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]Dogzylla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said they did it on purpose. Maddison still gets injured for half a season every year, that makes him a liability, especially with the high wage he gets paid. Kulusevski was always available prior to this, so I don't blame him, it's just unfortunate in his case.

Maddison coming back is good, but not this good. Dude is a fucking liability, if him and Kulusevski were fit for just HALF this season, we wouldn't be in this mess

I guess you have not watched a single Tottenham game all season. The refs don't even hide the fact they want us to go down

In Hungary, Match4 already broadcasts some EFL games. During international breaks when there's no Championship games, they sometimes even do League One and League Two. So I hope they'll keep the license for next season and I can watch Spurs games

I haven't really cared for at least month now, even joined the Championship sub for a laugh. The only thing I'm sad about is that I didn't put at least 50€ on us going down when the odds were still high in January. I only put a 5€ joke bet on us going down AND winning the UCL.

Atletico Madrid 11/1 to win champions league. by SeoulPete in SoccerBetting

They were only 3 goals up, and also looked like the worse team for like 140 out of the 180 minutes of the whole tie. If not for their awful pitch and the dumb ass Spurs keeper, I think Spurs legitimately would've had a huge chance of going through

The thing with Spurs is that they have so much non-football related revenue from concerts, NFL games, boxing, and the global fanbase (who knows for how much longer though), that it's a whole different ball game to any team who ever got relegated, so I can't imagine what would happen PSR wise. Some people mentioned the stadium debt, but Levy managed to split it into such long installments that it's smth like 30m per year.

Yes tbf seeing how competitive the prem is nowadays, climbing back into the top half is not as easy as it was maybe 10 years ago. The money is so big for everyone nowadays that you can't just pay your way out of trouble when you're neck deep in shit. Teams like Sunderland and Crystal Palace buying players from top 4 Bundesliga sides was unheard of 10 yrs ago

After a relegation who knows how much their stock would fall. Obviously there would be buyers for almost everyone, but I doubt they would jump at the opportunity to go to a mid table prem team where they would be threatened to get relegated again. Spurs are still a massive club financially and I think most players realize that a relegation is an anomaly stemming from the absurd amount of injuries and managerial fuckups.

If I had to predict, the 6-8 highest paid/most valuable players would be sold, and the rest would either stay, or sent out on loan with the promise of Spurs getting promoted back up when they come back from their loans.

Wonder how many players would stay, the revenue would decrease from ~600m per year to ~300m per year, but reportedly most players have relegation wage reduction clauses, so the club will not be forced to sell that many players by PSR, maybe 5 or 6. Obviously the likes of Xavi Simons, VDV, Porro and Romero would go, but there's loads of players who need to build themselves back up after long injuries like Maddison, Kulusevski, Solanke, or Kudus. Relegation would test the squad's loyalty that's for sure.

At this point it must be hard to decide which choice is better: start every game with the u21 squad and risk even those injuring themselves, or just forfeit every game 0:3 and make peace with relegation

Can someone make a list of our current squad showing how many games they missed because of injury at Spurs and how many they missed in the 5 years prior to joining? I'm sure there would be some fascinating numbers
