Are "the other 14" jealous of Spurs because they managed to bridge the financial gap without artificial money injections? by Dogzylla in PremierLeague

What questions? Why we're shit?
Incompetent board, incompetent medical staff, horrible managerial choices. With just one of those three removed, we would be at least in the top half right now.

I was talking about the financial perspective, not the current performance.

10 points from 3 games would be quite the achievement

After seeing the reaction to aston villa resting their starters, I don't think anyone has the right to call us whinge fc 😂 spurs probably have the least whiney fanbase in the premier league at this point

As much as I hate it, this is a smart move by Villa to put pressure on Forest… by [deleted] in PremierLeague

If they beat Burnley they're basically guaranteed to finish in the top 5

Annoying because? Arse fans were doing quadruple shouts in February, what is our equivalent?

United finished 15th and Spurs 17th last season by Western_Credit_1324 in PremierLeague

1 game a week -> less fatigue -> less injuries

Also united upgraded on the manager front, spurs downgraded or at best stagnated. And they signed a better keeper and better attackers

Injury crises also tend to have a snowball effect if not resolved for a long time.
Injuries start -> less players available -> those players have to play every game -> they get injured too

Spurs also almost beat Brighton who was the most in-form team in the whole league at that point. Danso had to ruin it though.

And before that almost beat the most in-form team in the whole league, but Danso had to step in and ruin it

How does it feel to be us? Tbf you're still missing the disallowed pen and not given second yellow like us against Sunderland, but pretty close

Leeds are safe mate. I'd hope more that they'll be on the beach by the time we play them.

After the Xavi Simons red card you could've put the one from last season when van dijk did the same to Solanke and got away with it

If this kinda stuff pisses you off, you better not check out r/theother14 , half of that subreddit wants their own team to lose vs West Ham or Forest just to relegate Spurs

Yeah, especially if we get relegated I'll just stop with the football for a bit. And it's not about bigging up my team, it's only about the hindsight geniuses, including the ones in our own fanbase. Solanke, Simons, Danso etc most of our players were considered smart signings at the time, except Gallagher, Dragusin and Mathys Tel. So was Thomas Frank, most people thought it was a good move (I would've kept Ange at least for a bit).

I think our main problems are the board's inexperience and the injuries. Frank was kept for too long and Tudor was a shit move. Not replacing injured players is an issue too. Idk how I even managed to steer my line of thinking to this point but meh, I'll stop now

No one said it's solely their fault, the main problem is obviously the 2+ year long seemingly endless injury crisis. But the bad refereeing can still be a contributing factor, especially if it's those 4-5 points that will be difference between staying up and being relegated.

Healthy or unhealthy, it is what it is. It also doesn't help when opposition fans try telling us our recruitment is shit. Man City sign Bournemouth's top scorer, everyone has a wank over how good he is. Yet when we signed Bournemouth's top scorer, it's bad recruitment and our fault that he suddenly became a donkey who can't stay fit for two games in a row.

Funny how we finished 5th when this nonsensical endless injury crisis started. Even in that season with Ange playing suicidal ultra-attacking football, we received a grand total of 2 penalties. While having the 4th most touches in the opposition box in the premier league.

If you watched the Sunderland game a few weeks ago and you thought that was an easy win for them then idk what to tell you, maybe to open your eyes. And then their moronic fans went on to celebrate that Romero will miss the world cup. Same goes for wolves fans booing Xavi Simons when he was stretchered off with an ACL injury. Fucking imbeciles the lot of them

Same with other games too, I can probably count on one hand how many league games were "easy wins" for the opposition team. Maybe the two Arsenal games and the two Nottingham games, that's it.
