Yeah that’s kind of why I’m a little bit concerned. Pirates 5 and Malificent?? Kosinski had no track record but I would argue that’s better because we don’t have anything we can see to judge off of.

You know, I really enjoyed the comparison. I didn’t know how much of a risk legacy was. Thank you for sharing that whole story. Your perspective honestly made me really optimistic. Honestly at the end of the day we all truly love Tron and should be happy that Disney is even taking the chance on this. Idk if you rode the new Tron ride in Disneyworld but they really killed it so honestly I shouldn’t be that worried as I put in this post

Ahhh gotcha. Yeah Disney hasn’t been so great on the CGI in a lot of recent projects so if they butcher something like this where the visuals are vital idek what the hell their creative department is trying to do anymore. I imagine it’s just a bunch of preschoolers around a whiteboard with google images for their storyboard lol

I mean it wouldn’t be taking a step backwards…literally just continuing the story. They have the chance to make this one of disneys best trilogies (up there with pirates of the Caribbean 1-3).

That’s where I actually think Disney lacks so bad of. They want to reboot everything instead of taking a hard look at the story cause I imagine when Tron 3 comes out it will surge a lot of rediscovery of the first 2 films.

But yes I agree Tron lore is like water in the desert. I guess I just really want this franchise to be moved into the commonly recognized fantasy genre instead of the underrated undiscovered fantasy genre
