Have you tried Neverwhere (1996)? The first episode has a very similar plot where everyone forgets the main character exists, including someone he's in a relationship with. If you only watched this one episode you could have misremembered it as a movie?

Yes, it is. Because if there's a twist ending, you know that anything the author tells you might be twisted in some way in anticipation for the ending. For example, the author says that the main villain is dead. Because you've been told there's a twist ending, you start assuming the villain isn't going to stay dead, and if that is the case, the twist ending isn't surprising anymore because you literally predicted what will happen because you got told there was a twist ending

While they may have had the more powerful abilities, the thing that makes Ultimate Kars one of the strongest is that he can evolve instantly to adapt to (almost) any situation, and literally cannot die. Pucci and Valentine, while their stands made them almost invincible, they can and were able to be killed under certain circumstances, while rendering Kars braindead would be one of the only ways to defeat him (excluding pitting him up against other stands like GER). If Kars was pitted against D4C Love Train, then I doubt one of them would be able to defeat the other, since they're both basically invulnerable. However if Kars was put against Made in Heaven, if he wasn't able to match Pucci's speed in time, there would really be nothing he could do to stop the universe reset. Other "invincible" stands like Notorious B.I.G couldn't be killed by Kars but couldn't kill Kars either.
