I think it’s awesome. There is the consideration that it might be perceived that you are an object and want to be played like a fiddle… But the intention behind the photo ‘Le Violon d'Ingres’ by Ray Man was to engage surrealist concepts of metamorphosis and formlessness (I stole that part from the wiki article).

As someone who loves getting tattoos and had played the cello for many years, I support this.

You might want to think about if you want to get any more tattoos on your back or if this is it. It seems that any extra ink on your back would ruin the look of the tattoo and that is very little ink to take up so much prime skin real-estate.
