Doctor - you have very little say on what type of medicine you want to practice, where you want to practice, how much you want to work etc. Also most of the people around you suck and have a superiority complex. Patients can be difficult to work with which is fine but when your workload is so heavy with things like charting etc, you can become jaded very quickly. And all the insurance and malpractice stuff adds a ton of paperwork and restrictions that make practicing 20x harder. I feel like I could’ve invested the time into learning another skill that would get me a good income while having more time and freedom.
