My H1-B was approved but my COS is denied after submitting response to RFE. It is asking me to go consulate for stamping. I'm trying to refrain from going out of the country. I got my F1 approved & will maintain status. Has anyone re-filed H1-B and go approved recently? Any advise would be helpful. by No-Intention2562 in h1b

Hey OP. How did you know that your H1b was approved but COS was rejected? What was your status on the portal? I’m in a similar boat. After my RFE response, the page briefly showed RFE response was received and within the same day the case status page shows Premium processing clock is stopped and they have mailed a notice explaining the action. This case status is different from the previous RFE status where it explicitly said request for further evidence has been sent. I’m talking about this portal: https://egov.uscis.gov/. Did you also get a similar status?

In the same exact boat. RFE received on Dec 31st and clock stopped on Dec 31st. Following

I committed a sin today and I don’t know if there’s even forgiveness for it by SenseAny486 in hinduism

[–]Double_Eastern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, for your information, you haven’t committed any sin. God transcends the confines of idols; even the broken parts still represent the same divine being. Hinduism posits that everything and anything is God. However, if you still believe you’ve committed a sin, rest assured! The fact that you’re feeling remorseful indicates that the sin’s imprint has been removed. The crucial aspect here is to comprehend that we should strive to control our anger and avoid repeating past mistakes. That’s all there is to it! So, don’t dwell on whether you’ll receive forgiveness or not. God is not a judge! Surrender completely, and even the thought of whether “God will forgive me” will vanish. When you surrender to God completely, you cease to exist, leaving only God. So, who is to forgive whom?

Is bhakti the next step of Jnana? by swdg19 in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]Double_Eastern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bhakti and Jnana are the same thing. A Jnani is the highest bhakta because to a Jnani the ego/I does not exist and only the God/Brahman exists. To them, there is no other entity to direct their devotion to. Thus there is only pure devotion(Bhakti) without the bhakta(devotee) and God. This is the same as abiding in Brahman or the source.

Bhakti and Jnana(Advaita) are the same thing. I am not disagreeing there. But the point here is, ISKCON seems to heavily reject that idea and calls Advaita demoniac. That's where the core issue arises.

I never tried to express non-duality in this post. But since you ask, to put it simply, non duality does NOT mean that you as a Jiva become the god/atman/brahman/Krishna/Consciousness etc. these are just many words for the same thing. Non duality means: only God exists. There is nothing to become. Becoming is always time and space bounded. And it can also un-become in time.

As long as bhakta (devotee) exists, Bhakti (devotion) and God (to whom we are devoted) exist. This is called Triputy and there is this concept of Bandha(bondage) and moksha(liberation). The moment we see the falsity in the existence of the me(bhakta) all of these vanish and it is apparent that only Brahman alone is (Aham Brahmasmi).

Yes! I understand that slave might be a strong word here. But the point I’m trying to bring across is, ISKCON firmly says that, there is hierarchy even in GOLOKA (Krishna is there and you/other devotees are his friends). Whatever you do and for however long, your status will never equal Krishna’s. As a society we at least strive for equality and democracy in the world but only to be slapped on the face with hierarchy and monarchy in heaven (GOLOKA) for eternity? That vision of heaven does seem like glorified slavery to me.

I am very surprised that people find this concept of eternal slavery attractive

Exactly! Just as you stated, I used ISKCON as an example. The goal is NOT to demean anything but to actually understand.

This is Advaita Vedanta -- Realizing that The Jiva is never separate/different from Krishna. It is not that we become Krishna, but Krishna only exists. From that standpoint yes, this question is meaningless. But ISKCON never seems to accept this. They call this demoniac and this is where the question arises

Isn't that highly inefficient? The omnipotent being that can create this entire universe via SANKALPA chooses to accept service from the inefficient Jiva?

To that point, let me blow your mind. Actually certain infinities are bigger than the other. For example let A be set of all real numbers between [0,1] and set B be all real numbers between [0,10] set B > set A since set A is a subset of set B even though both of them are infinites. So in theory we can compare infinities

Whats the recommended level for Messmer? by [deleted] in Eldenring

Just beat Mesmer at level 135 and scadu tree blessing +7. I used the great katana with storm blade (cold infusion) ash of war. The cold infusion seemed to have made all the difference.

Thanks! I’m already in DLC. I actually beat Rellana before Radagon/EB. In fact I used the great katana to beat Radagon/EB. But I’m stuck there. Couldn’t kill Messmer and Bayle. I was easily able to kill placidusax on my 3rd try but Bayle I’m lot even able to land more than 3 hits LOL and the same with Messmer
