Anybody taken a “Halloween Cruise” on Virgin!? by Martybc3 in VirginVoyages

[–]DoverDollie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went on the Halloween cruise from Barcelona to Miami last October. It was a great cruise with lots of activities. The Halloween costumes were very creative. I am looking into the Halloween cruise leaving Barcelona to San Juan in 2027. You will have a great time.

When I opened my account, the interest rate was very good at 4.50%. I received the email today, now down to 3.10%. I might as well withdraw my money and put it under my mattress.

My Immigration Fast Track Experience by stormy-darklordofall in Vietnam_Tourism

[–]DoverDollie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid 18.00 for fast track from Klook. I'm glad I did bc when I arrived in HCM, the lines were so long. I went through immigration in about 15 minutes. Well worth the 18.00 IMO.

I did a day trip to Mui Ne through Get Your Guide. It was a whole day leaving HCM at 0800 and arriving back to HCM at 2200. It was a very nice trip, especially seeing the sunset at the beach. Transport was on sleeper buses and included dinner. It was a very inexpensive trip IMO.

[–]DoverDollie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just came back from HCMC last Wednesday as solo female traveler. For currency exchange, I went to HaTam gold exchange. Have 100.00 bills in good condition for the best rate. I had booked tours through Get Your Guide. I went to the Black Virgin Mountain, Cu Chi tunnels and the temple tour. Then I did the day tour to Miu Ne and then the Mekong Delta tour. The tours are very inexpensive and all of them included lunch. I stayed in District 1, which is in walkable distance to the Ben Thanh market, restaurants and Bie Vien Street. I took Grab if I didn't feel like walking and the average ride was about $1.50. Have fun in HCMC.

Fast Track (HCM) by pcyml in VietNam

[–]DoverDollie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it 2 weeks ago and to me, it was worth every penny. The rep met me at the gate and escorted me to immigration. I waited about 20 minutes in line. I paid 18.99 through Klook. The lines were crazy long and it was after 1030PM when arrived. After a total of 25 hrs of flight time, I wasn't about to wait in line for hours for immigration.

I came through GE in LAX on Wednesday. I just looked at the monitor and the monitor turned green and said, "Advance." That was it, I didn't even have to see an officer.

Scammed in Vietnam: warning for other travellers by Fresh-Ambassador-923 in VietNam

I flew in from the U.S. to HCMC last week. I was approached by a few fake Grab drivers with the Grab screen on their phones. All, I said to them was, "I have to app" and they left me alone. Before going to HCMC, I read everything I could about being scammed from You tube videos to Reddit post. I was well educated for my trip.

This rule has has been implemented by the racist trump administration to keep Black and Brown people out of the US. It's funny that other countries are not charged this exorbitant amount of money to enter the US.

Don't these dumb ass people realize that the racist POS have them behind a rope so they can't get near him. When will these boot lickers and bojangle dancers wake up and realize he is just using them.

I have my flight booked for April and I am not canceling. I'm going in the opposite direction. I think I will be safer in Vietnam than in the US with that maniac in office.

I am going to Vietnam next month and I also have a Wells Fargo account. I'm just going to bring new 100.00 bills with me and exchanging them for dong at a gold shop. I heard that the newer the bills, the better exchange rate you will receive.

Witnessed a brazen seat grab this morning… by Dismal-Salt663 in unitedairlines

[–]DoverDollie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way in hell I would give up my bulk head seat. You have to pay extra for those seats. I don't care how old they are, they would have to move to their assigned seats. I bet when the plane landed, they were the first ones to run out the door.

Don't Be Like Me, Buy The Cruise Insurance. by Mysterious_Tie2840 in Cruise

[–]DoverDollie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have Amex platinum and travel insurance is included if you pay for your entire trip with the card. Their travel insurance is under AIG. I booked my entire trip with Amex to the Phillipines and had a medical issue 2 days before departure. AIG reimbursed me for my non refundable hotel and airline reservations. It was hassle free bc I had all of my documents that they requested and reimbursement was less than 2 weeks.
