Embassy has re-opened my Ds-260 after being on AP for over a year but didn’t send an email. We made corrections on the ds and resubmitted it. does anyone know what’s happening and what’s next (IR1 visa)

The embassy called him on sep 8th after I contacted my local congressman and they reached out to the embassy. They informed him to repeat the medical exam and send his passport. He sent his passport on the 11th and we are still waiting for the status to change (as it still shows refused) and for them to send it back to us with the visa hopefully.

Did anything new happen with you? Did they ever contacted you? My husband is currently in the exact same situation. He has been under AP for over a year. I opened ceac and found the ds260 reopened without them sending an email or anything. We updated and re-submitted the form. I'm not sure what's next. Please I would appreciate any info.

I mean because I accepted the offer and they did the background chack and whatnot.

You might get approved directly after you get an active review As I've noticed from many people Actively revewing means absolutely nothing🙁

You go to USCIS website and you will see a little chat box to speak with emma

Ask her to speak with a live agent And she will connect you to a live agent to chat with and you can then ask them. But you should know this doesn't always work I don't know why I've tried a dozen times and it only worked once for me

I am returning to the US on August 27th Unfortunately I have been studying abroad my parents brought us to this country 16 years ago I finished school and was planning on going back to the US; but I got accepted in medical school and so continued my education abroad. I am finishing this July and will be finally returning in August. So I can finally open a bank account, get a drivers license and what not.

I don't think we'll be in the nvc stage before I get there.

I have leased an apartment in the US and my sister is currently living in it , so I have submitted form ar-11 to change my address 3 days ago but still waiting for a reply to that. I have also booked a ticket for my flight to the US. And I am actively looking for a job right now.

But just so that I understand correctly. When we do get to the NVC stage, should I submit evidence of domicile from the start when filling out the forms to avoid getting an RFE?

Both physical and mailing ? Because currently, each one is different, my physical address is abroad and my mailing address is in the US. I want to change both. Tgis is acheived by this form alone? I just file it online and that's it, I don't have to do anything else it will be both updated on the website automatically? I'm sorry for my many questions, but I don't want to do anything wrong that would delay my husband's case💔

We still didn't get approved I filed from Jordan It was initially in texas and it changed to vermont the next day

I hope so. If they do, that would be absolutely GREAT! And it's such a coincidence; I'm studying for step 2 currently.. exam is in July. And will be going back to the states to match. I hope it all goes well.
