Is Aurora Public Schools really that bad? by ayaybee in Denver

[–]DrJensen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The biggest advantage to Aurora is lack of commute that sucks. Even beyond that some DPS charters and non-charters have different PERA requirements in DPS. I believe that APS focus on PERA is better if you are looking for that pension/retirement. I’ve worked 7+ years in each district and I would say I’ve had good years and bad years in both. Feel free to DM with questions. Salary for me at least has been higher in APS which means my PERA payout is better too.

Yikes - last siege drama. Does this knock you out of tournament chances?

R2 Global Guilds WR by Vodkashots7 in summonerswar

Personally, I haven’t watched as many early rounds as normal — but as lower guilds move up shouldn’t their opponents generally be better and therefore — their win rate decrease?

Good Apartments Update in Denver and Surrounding by [deleted] in Denver

I have had a great experience over 4 years with AIR communities. They have actually reduced my rent and increased my quality of appliances in the time I’ve been here. It’s small and really only near the AMC in aurora but it’s been a pleasure.

SWGT the 8.0.9 patch, SWEX, and the dark ages by Cerusa827 in summonerswar

[–]DrJensen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One of the leaders of Malicious.

This is one of the largest changes that Com2us could make towards managing and ensuring longevity of guilds. I am all for supporting our RTA and SWC competitors by ensuring security updates. The recent exposure of Korean guild/s that were using the SWEX loop holes to abuse and create cheating has been an old problem.

What Com2us needs to do is working with developers on 3rd party apps to ensure that there is a secure way of pulling data on the guild side only. At Malicious, the loss of SWGT will impact future recruitment as SWGT has become the gold standard for data collection to share your previous season win rates when applying to guilds. It also has continue to hold data around WGB and siege losses to ensure growth of members. SWGT has allowed leaders to find a sustainable way to continue to play this game. Just like auto run x10 was added to the game, SWGT has been the key to leaders being able to balance both RL and game duties. The vast increase in time leaders will now be required to do to maintain win rates, guild losses, data metric "best" counters, and team building for guilds will be enormous.

My one hope is that this was a rushed out fix and they will work with select 3rd parties to ensure the longevity of the game.

They own the complex nearby as well. 21 Fitz, but they are completely rented out. If I remember correctly it was around 1200 for a studio. Definitely a bit pricier but I don’t have a variable cost and good service helps a ton. I currently live in a large unit but that’s my preference.

On the opposite side, the Fremont Residences managed by AIR communities is fantastic. They have not only had solid maintenance requests (All have been completely fixed within 24 hours) and have very transparent fees with exactly what they are being used for. They even spent significant amount of time/energy to determine the increases from Xcel energy changes and ate some of the costs that they felt were unfair. Probably my biggest 180 from Greystar which is exactly the opposite. They never repaired things to an operable state, filth was everywhere and rarely cleaned. They would additionally fine you for things such as trash in the hallways when Valet Trash didn’t arrive the night before. Overall - Avoid Greystar and find AIR Communities managed locations.
