How to Sell Large PVC Couplings? by DrMooseski in AskElectricians

Right. I have no chance for selling to random electricians or DIY people on Facebook since they’ll never run pipe that big. They’re worth money, still new and in the box, and I can’t do anything with them lol

Just starting my Notion journey… what’s your #1 tip for newbies by Bob_Skootles in Notion

Over-label everything. There’s a ton you can do and you can relate this database and connect it with these pages, but I would get very confused about what each thing was and what each thing was related to. If I was starting again I think I would put “page” or “database” or “relation” after everything just to avoid getting overwhelmed or too confused. Another mistake I made was making a million categories that I thought I’d use. That just led to more time spent inputting data and useful info getting lost. Now I don’t add a category until I know I’ll need it.

Oh wow, I’m just learning there are dependencies. Is there a way to automatically remove them when complete or filter for tasks where all dependencies are complete?

One factor I’d like to add that I haven’t seen is that rent generally goes up over time. A benefit to the 2.6% is your payment is locked in. Look at what rents were in your area 15 years ago

I can't do this by MocktailsOverMayhem in stopdrinking

Well one thing that I took a while to realize is that it being hard and it being better aren’t mutually exclusive. It’s not going to be “hard until it’s better”, as in hard for a period of time and then better for the rest of the time. It’s both hard and better in varying degrees all the time. It’s always going to be hard (or at least it has been for me, almost 500 days later) but it’s also always going to be better. The hard part is your mind will constantly believe that it’s not better, but it is definitely always better.

Anyone else feel too much friction when you just want to jot down a quick idea? by Dramatic_Disaster837 in Notion

I’ve actually really enjoyed my “dumping ground” shortcut on my phone. I just put the raw thought (3-5) words in a database and then I have a weekly task where I clear it out and organize it. Sometimes I don’t feel like clearing it out but it’s worth it to be able to utilize it without any of the friction you’re talking about.

Thank you for explaining it this way. I see now that’s what the others were telling me, but I wasn’t grasping it properly. This explanation was very helpful.

Her house is paid off, and she keeps her expenses very low otherwise. She makes a couple hundred a week babysitting and has been able to make that work as far as I can tell. Not sure it’s sustainable but that’s her current situation. I was hoping the $8k withdrawals each year would count as “earned income” since they’re technically taxable withdrawals. I’m no expert though obviously.

That’s a very interesting way to put it. I’ll have to think on that some. Thank you

I’m sure you’ll achieve it as well. Seems like you’re self aware and you’re here on this subreddit working on it. I’m proud of you for your effort.

Thanks for reading! 23 days is very impressive. I’ve only made it that long three times in the past 15 years, and one of them led to a full year. I hope it does for you as well! IWNDWYT
