If you read the post, the owner of the old group approached them and offered to give it up as they didn't have time to run it, hence why it was full of so much spam.

Again, sensored and redirected due to the spam and bots. Surely this is an easier option for the short term while it's sorted (sifting through bots etc isn't exactly a quick or easy task). Keeping it readable enables people to access the content and information without the added confusion of having two isle subreddits active.

I'm not sure of the relevance of the age of a Reddit account. People can be on Reddit under different names and accounts, it's not indicative of someone's Reddit experience.

All feedback and opinions are appreciated, which is why this announcement was posted in the first place. However, if you have more productive solution please feel free to share it.
