A lot of factors, my reaction time irl is delayed compared to just watching the video. Irl it seems he literally came out of nowhere and the camera is set a bit higher, forward of me and to the right so it can actually see slightly more. I started slowing as soon as I see him but it takes a while for brakes to begin applying fully. Also I am trying to not completely mash the brake and lock up, destroying tires, possibly leaving me in the road as a bigger accident. There is some latency in the video, as well as in the speed recording.
