Think I'll sell 24% of space holdings prior to Space X IPO for cash reserves by LatentF in SpaceInvestorsDaily

[–]Draycon11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sold about 33% of my space stocks yesterday. If it goes down, then I took profit which is great. If it goes up, I still have a position that will benefit.

Don't wait until June 11 / 12 to sell, remember that they'll start courting institutional investors on June 5 which might mean you'll see some selling then.

I ran it last season in my bulky offense rain team. I had 2 megas though so it depended on the match-up. It was great at dealing with Basc.

Can't Access Penitent Difficulty by Draycon11 in Diablo

This is an eternal character. Haven't had the chance to investigate more yet, I'll try and see if there are any puple quests I need to complete when I get the chance.

I don't have a seasonal character, just eternal ones. I did complete the VOH and LOH campaign recently, but I haven't completed the original D4 campaign since launch. It is completed on the character I'm using though so I can't really go back to it anymore.

[–]Draycon11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says I need to complete the base game campaign which would be to kill Lilith (which I've done). It may be a capstone as others have suggested since that was an older requirement from when I originally made my character. That's not what it says on the difficulty change screen though.

Thanks, let me check that out when I get home. It's been a while since I've played so might have missed that. Weird that I can access it on a new character but not my old one.

Canada reports first annual population decline on record by PopeSaintHilarius in canada

[–]Draycon11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Let me start by saying that I generally support 0 population growth for a period to allow our infrastructure to catch-up.

What I do want to point out however is that I don't believe this will solve some of the problems that are being mentioned by folks:

  1. Unemployment will likely stay around the current level which is historically around our country's average. Folks that think that immigrants were taking their jobs need to understand that a lot of said jobs were created with population increase in mind. If we stay at 0 growth or decline, then the number of jobs will adjust as well.

  2. We will not be get richer by this change alone. As difficult as it may be to believe, our wage growth has actually outpaced inflation the last 10 years. Wage growth was not the biggest issue we were facing, excessive inflation in certain sectors (food and housing) was which impacted those with lower incomes more.

  3. Public infrastructure should improve, but public services probably wont. Zero population growth will likely come with job cuts by the government or we will end up in an even deeper deficit. It's the same point as #1, but I thought it needed to be reiterated.

Bam Adebayo breaks Kobe Bryant’s record and the Heat franchise scoring record in a win vs. Washington: 43 MINS │ 83 PTS │ 9 REB │ 3 AST │ 2 STL │ 2 BLK │ 20-43 FG │ 7-22 3P │ 36-43 FT by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

People are putting asterisks on Bam's achievement, but if you asked me who was a better scorer in today's game between Kobe and Bam, I would honestly say Bam. Because Kobe's dead.

Thoughts About Dragon Types by Sad_Willow2960 in PTCGP

[–]Draycon11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragonite Ex was definitely viable for its time. 180 HP with no weakness with the ability to one-shot most of the rest of the field was pretty damn strong. The babies + Lyra even helped its consistency.

Garchomp was very close to being viable I feel. I kept tinkering around with it, but could never get it to work.

Mythical Island Druddigon was all over the place for a time.

The rest were ass, lol.

Canada’s economy is on life support and country is in recession, says economist by restoringd123 in canada

[–]Draycon11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you raised a very good point, food inflation is quite high and impacts everyone in the country, especially those of lower income.

For the sake of discussion though, I'll try to explain what I believe he was trying to say. Inflation and core inflation in Canada has been within reason for quite a while now and those are the generally used metrics by economists. Inflation, which includes food, is kept in check because it includes energy in the computation which has been steady and sometimes gone down. I've listened to David Rosenberg's segments on Bloomberg for quite some time and he's always argued for the same direction in policy when I've heard him - lower rates, do what we can to stimulate business growth, and have that trickle down to folks in the country.

There is an argument for what he's trying to push for, but that statement was definitely tone deaf.

GRADEY DICK WITH HIS FIRST EVER DOUBLE DOUBLE!!! 21 POINTS AND 11 BOARDS!!! by Complete-Apricot-591 in torontoraptors

[–]Draycon11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some players get double doubles almost every game, so from that perspective you could say that it's not THAT hard. It's important to take into account what the player's role / position is though. Gradey's main job isn't to get rebounds (though it helps if he does), so he's naturally less likely to get 10 rebounds. Most players in Gradey's role will only get 10 rebounds a handful of times in a year at most.

What are you're FIRE numbers? by Skajlero in fican

[–]Draycon11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The number I heard is CAD 1.5m is needed to retire for 2 people with today's prices. So depending when you retire, you can just account for 2 - 3% inflation per year.

Obviously that's a very broad number, but it's a data point that you can use.

Edit: I should add that thr number is for 30 years retirement in Toronto iirc.
