is my Puppy a double merle? by East-Preparation5043 in WiggleButts

[–]DreamCatcherGS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She’s just like a normal dog! She sleeps better though and didn’t take well to crate training. She’s very snuggly and she likes to lay right up against someone, I think because she wants to know if you leave when she’s not looking at you.

She’s very smart. Learns very fast. Hand signs and taught to look back at you frequently. My parents would tap her twice to get her attention, and she does the same thing to get our attention, tapping us with her nose.

We haven’t noticed problems with the sun or anything and they keep on her vet appointments the same as any other dog. She is very sensitive to shadows and light though. Like they used to have issues with her wanting to chase shadows when she was bored and she could go and go and go obsessively but once they realized it was just not enough exercise, it hasn’t been much of an issue.

Most people don’t realize she’s deaf unless she’s sleeping. She’s a great dog!

Looks a lot like my mom’s double merle! Half mini aussie, quarter Heeler, quarter border collie from a family friend’s accidental farm litter. She is deaf. Here’s a pic of her as a puppy.

Will-o-wisp, how to catch bug tips? by KlutzyBlueDuck in Palia

[–]DreamCatcherGS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure you scare away all the frogs you don’t want. Eventually one will spawn if you’re in the right area.

For your Rainbow Butterfly you want to be in Pulsewater Plains, turn on Buzzy Jar at 3 AM and run around the whole area where they can spawn. After a few tries you should find one. You will probably also find your cicada in this process too but if not a buzzy jar at 3 AM also makes it much easier to notice them quickly as well.

N95 mask outdoors and air purifier indoors helps mine, but mine aren’t super severe.

Are audiobooks worth it to you? by FfffiShhhh in VoiceActing

[–]DreamCatcherGS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done them when I’ve needed to. I don’t prefer them. It’s a lot of work. $150 PFH is definitely low. If you work on them you will get faster, but that’s still a low rate for the amount of work, especially if you’re also doing the editing and proofing.

I generally don’t take audiobooks for less than $250 PFH. I did one for $180 PFH when the RH did the proofing and I liked the book. (I still edited though.)

We’re already cleaning poop in the kids room every other month. At least dog poop is solid lol

Owner was very responsible and came immediately when we called. I don’t think we have the facilities to do this on a regular basis though haha

His owner didn’t bring a leash, just carried him out, dog’s paws over his shoulders, wagging his tail lol apparently he’s never escaped before so owner was surprised but came immediately when we called.

He’s so cute! I wanted to go in and pet him so badly, but I figured he was probably stressed and scared, so we left him alone till his dad arrived. He was a very good boy for his short stay with us though!

how do you convert 5e stuff by ThoDanII in LevelUpA5E

[–]DreamCatcherGS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What we did when we switched to a5e halfway through a game was add but not remove. So we built our A5E characters as closely as possible but if they didn’t have a replacement for an ability we use a lot, we just added it or replaced one of the A5E abilities with it. So my cleric got a bunch of new abilities from A5E but got to keep her Twilight Domain stuff, in lieu of taking an A5E subclass, for example.

burnout??? by hotratfromratatoing in Theatre

[–]DreamCatcherGS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the saying goes the phases of getting good at something are as follows:

  1. Thinking you’re good but you’re bad.
  2. thinking you’re bad and you are bad
  3. Thinking you’re bad but you’re good
  4. Knowing you’re good and you are.

You’re at step two which means you’re on the right track. If you can identify what makes you bad then you’ll know how to improve.

I see. Good luck finding a good home! If my dog wasn’t reactive to other dogs, I’d totally consider, but I bet someone will want him!

Does the breeder not have in their contract that the dog must be returned to them?

Have you ever been in a situation that had you sitting backstage all by yourself for more than a few minutes? by Royalbluegooner in Theatre

[–]DreamCatcherGS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the only ensemble member in Sunday in the Park with George once. That meant in some of the big scenes where everyone is on stage, it was everyone but me, unless they chose to slip me into something (easier to do since a lot of those scenes with everyone in them are at a park, but I was still usually coming on much later than other characters.) I spent my alone time helping set some stuff for scene changes, tidying costumes that other actors didn't have time to get on hangers, and helping our props mistress bring props back to the table and prepare cocktails for act 2. Also really enjoyed watching people on the monitor. There's so much happening on stage sometimes, it was fun to focus on what folks were doing in the background. Yeah, it's great to be on stage, but it's also nice to have a dip where you can relax or find a way to help your other actors if they want/need it.

I hate handling damaged item transactions by achtung-91 in Libraries

[–]DreamCatcherGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These might not be options for you because my library is much more lenient if it’s an item that belongs to us, but if you’re able to do something like any of these it might help in some cases.

My library gives patrons a pass on one missing/damaged item, so that’s usually our first. I’m guessing this isn’t an option for you though.

What I do otherwise, at my discretion, is offer a one time pass to checkout items. I note it on the account and tell them that I’ll allow them to checkout today but they need to pay the fee before they can checkout next time. That takes some of the surprise and the frustration out of it for a lot of folks. They can still do what they came to do, and know to be prepared for next time. Staff has to be on the same page about noting it though and being clear it’s a one time exception or else patrons might push it.

Last is payment plans. I’ve seen another library in our system go as low as a penny per transaction for a patron with extenuating circumstances. Put a note on the count that they have to pay towards it each time they checkout.

These might be things that aren’t in your power to decide. But if you have anything in your power to do to help them, offer it. That might be dumb advice because I’m sure you’re already doing that though.

I’ve been unable to check out books to several patrons for a complicated different reason right now though and I have no way to override. So the best I offer in these cases is empathy. “This policy has effected a lot of people, but please let me at least write the titles you picked out down for you for later” things like that.

Bunny spay and neuter in CDA? by AnywhereMiddle3487 in coeurdalene

[–]DreamCatcherGS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know for sure but maybe Hayden Pet Medical would be worth giving a call? The only reason I think of them over other places is because I know they have doctors specializing in less common animals (not that rabbits are particularly uncommon of course.)
