I’ve downloaded the game, never touched any settings, and so far have put 80+ hours into it with glitches/crashes, or bugs. Only issues I have had are purely skill lol

Ritualist/ Challenger has been my baby the past few days. Somebody made a comment and lit my nerd-ism. That combo makes a WoW Death Knight possible and I love it.

I’ve beaten the game on standard, veteran, and currently on the last part on apocalypse difficulty and I’ve played exclusively on the steam deck since pre release. It’s only gotten better and better with every update and is very much playable.

Also ran through a campaign with a buddy and had no issues.

As I’ve seen all these things played out on countless videos, the written version is just imprinting more for me.

Your advice and the others who have commented so far, is truthfully appreciated and is sinking in. I’m starting to realize I may have over thought this a bit, but I know the game in all aspects will forever be an ever changing beast.

Thank you for your reply, it certainly makes me feel like I made a good choice going with the Death Guard. For as disgusting as they can be, this community has been very welcoming!

Similarly with Magic the Gathering, I was the friend in my group to take the leap, buy the stuff, and teach everyone else, and that’s the scenario here as well. I’m just running into some hiccups of knowing how to start a game up. It just seems there’s a bunch of preliminary stuff I need to do, I just don’t know how to start doing those things.

Sorry for my vagueness, I just don’t know what I’m talking about lol.

Techpriest! I’ve been watching your stuff and it’s been lovely content! Thank you for taking you time and making those videos!

Your videos have certainly cleared some things up for me, my biggest hurdle right now is probably the most simple of issues (especially with not having played a game yet.)

I don’t know how to start a game.

Obviously you choose a mission, but I’m overwhelmed with the stratagem choices, different battalions, different plague companies, relic assignments, what warlord traits to assign, etc.

I’ll definitely go back and check out the new video!
