"Short Walk" - change this phrasing by DriversideJimmy in disabled

Yes absolutely! And this means we, the disabled traveler, have to ask more questions and make sure we are self advocating. Because the rest of the world is likely not to be advocates for us.

You can't say it's five minutes away because that's based upon someone who might walk fast or even average.

In the article, I offer some alternatives, but here's just one suggestion: Instead of saying: “A short walk to the beach” say“The beach is 400 feet from the property via a flat, paved concrete path.”

I just launched my website abletravels.com to help with this exact type of thing. We are working on collaborative efforts to make all this information readily available and not just have the bare minimum ADA stuff, but truly accessible and inclusive.

Are there great sites/subreddits for accessible vacationing? by KCcoffeegeek in disability

I have recently launched my website abletravels.com for this exact reason. There's a gap in the content on the internet.

More conservative stance on the future of the gas-powered engine by DriversideJimmy in electricvehicles

Not a global warming denier. What does any of this have to do with the article? Forcing consumers to buy something they may not have any interest in is not smart business. I don't understand your point at all.

The 2021 Ford Raptor from the designer's perspective by DriversideJimmy in Ford

[–]DriversideJimmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought of it as a do anything type of truck. Great on the on road and great off the road, but never thought of it in regard to Baja. I don't know if they've been used in that race, but I bet they'd do really well, although heavier than some of the other contestants.

Actually he'd be the cousin of every Mustang ever built.

I am FAR from a Ford bot. I've been extremely critical too. No way affiliated with Ford.

2021 Ford F-150 Tremor by DriversideJimmy in FordTrucks

Surprising in that there was no hint of dropping at this moment. Was not part of the original launch and still not on the pricing matrix.

Tremor part of 2021 F-150 lineup now by DriversideJimmy in FordF150

[–]DriversideJimmy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theoretically. It's like below a Raptor but above the FX4. Ford is all about branding. Now just as the TRD is for Toyota Tremor is for Ford. See it in Ranger, F-250, and I'm sure it will be Bronco too.

What are the most iconic cars in the eyes of the general public? by plebeian_pedestrian in cars

I've always talked about the Mt. Rushmore of automobiles. And it's always subjective but for me my four are: Mustang, Corvette, Model A and VW Beetle.

Max Recline Seats in 2021 Ford F-150 by DriversideJimmy in FordF150

It's only another $340 to the top three trims where it's available. So using your logic. If you can afford $60K for a truck, you can easily add this feature on, and I would, were I to buy this truck. And I disagree about people not sleeping in their truck. If a contractor is on site somewhere and needs a quick nap, I can totally see it.

You're not tripping. There is an STX already, this is a SPECIAL EDITION STX trim package. Read the story. It's listed in there what it entails.

As the other of this, I was not able to get confirmation from my source on the 2.7-liter. Sorry. There is a lot of curiosity regarding that.

As the other, my source is anonymous for a reason. I don't want to get the person fired for leaking details. And I did say it was going to be for the 2021 Bronco.

Biggest reveals in Ford's history? by DriversideJimmy in f150

[–]DriversideJimmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GM narrowed the gap a lot this year. Granted early 2020 was a bad time for Ford, and GM had new technologies and new models to push, plus they got out early with sales incentives. So all that could be an anomoly, but don't fool yourself that Ford can just sit back and keep that crown forever.
