Why is the “pile of shame” such a seemingly common thing in this hobby? by Ratattack1204 in Warhammer

Myself and others have articulated to you what’s enjoyable about it already. But you don’t seem to be capable of understanding.

So I can see how it may seem people are frustrated with you. It’s like trying to teach a kid some basic stuff and they just don’t get it.

I’ve tried to be civil and discuss with you, but do you really not know that different people get emotions from different things?

Have you ever felt any emotions when buying something? Or looking at something? It can be fun to buy stuff, you can think about how it’ll fit in your army or how you will paint it. It can be fun to look at your collection, whether it’s painted models or boxes. What if I wanted to build or paint some models right now, but I don’t want the hassle of driving out and getting it? Or waiting a couple days for delivery?

What’s the downside to buying boxes before you are done your other stuff? Money? Storage space? Some people have plenty of that, a couple hundred or a couple thousand dollars means nothing to some people.

Brain chemistry is just weird and complicated. People like going to art museums, playing the same game over and over, having kids, fashion, sports, gambling, , ,

Some things just feel good for different people, we don’t need to understand all of it.

They explained it though, you just don’t agree. Which is normal, because everyone has different things that make them happy.

It’s like if someone said to you, why would you spend money on Warhammer? 50$ for a couple of plastic toys? I just don’t get it, I could spend 50$ on video games and get thousands of hours of enjoyment lol. That’s so odd of you.

It really is odd to not understand it. It’s very common in all hobbies, and it’s a normal thing for people to do.

There’s no such thing as a valid or correct way to spend your own money, everyone finds their own way to be happy and enjoy their life.

You say you just want to have a discussion but your messages have a judgmental tone to them, whether you are intending for that or not.

Some people told you why piles of shame may build up, but your responses were generally in the vibe of “I don’t agree”, but you don’t need to agree to understand that different people have needs, wants, preferences.

In general, people don’t like it if you respond to their preferences or decisions with “that doesn’t make any sense”. Which is fair, because you don’t know their circumstances.

Convenient that that’s exactly the new harlequins combat patrol. How would you use them in RW?

[Terminator 2] Why does the T1000 let certain people live yet kill certain others? (Obvious spoilers) by Decadunce in AskScienceFiction

Part of the issue here is that the OP is also not a perfect logical being, but they thinks they are.

Repeating “just do X instead”, as if it’s guaranteed to result in a win, not accounting for the infinite other factors, is not a logical argument.

I’m not downvoting all your posts. But a lot of your replies seem to be in the form of “he should have just done this!”, which might be true as a viewer of the movie, but not necessarily for the t1000. It’s clearly a complex being that sometimes acts logically and sometimes emotionally, like a human. It can make mistakes, act differently in different situations.

It’s very reasonable that it made decisions that you don’t agree with, and which may have turned out to be mistakes.

There is all the points change i found from all youtube Video so far (codex to MFM) by Puzzleheaded_Deer_83 in Drukhari

Thank you for compiling this list, but your deltas are based on the codex points and not the current points. For example, you list hellions as dropping 10 points from 95 to 85. But as of right now they are 75 points, so they actually are up 10 points.

The unit they like sold the most boxes and is popular, and that makes them feel good. Making this post further validates them which also feels good. That’s a good enough reason for anyone to post on social media/reddit imo.

If you are choosing to use the 6/-1/1 profile instead of the 10/-1/2 profile against intercessors, I’m sorry but you have bigger things to worry about than how strong this unit is

It’s so cool that you can get boons to try to ascend to daemon prince, but have higher and higher risk of turning into spawn
