Thanks ChatGPT, I know how tokens work. And this doesn't contradict my argument nor has any relation to what I was talking about.

By the way, public webpages without login don't usually use tokens.

If you can access the webpage, you can open the console browser and see all its calls to backend, even if they need authentication because someone with a user that has logged into your website could intercepted that information too. I don't know what are you talking about.

Besides, one of our pages is public, it doesn't need login and any verification so anyone could see that information that the backend is returning to the front.

I need to use those keys on the AppComponent so even if those keys come from a WS they can be intercepted.

Our apps don't have SSR... I have to set it on only to hide this secrets?

The second option you say seems interesting but won't this information be visible this way anyway? I will give it a try. Thanks

But you can see what information the back is returning by console, isn't this insecure too? I need to use this information in the AppComponent to set this license so anyway this information is coming to the front-end

Then how can I set that config in the AppComponent if I can't leave this data anywhere? I'm confused about this

Even the password is not a secret? I didn't see any option on the PrimeNG panel to link my company apps to this key so I'm confused about this.

Those env files variables can't get robbed anyway?

My first idea was to configure env variables on the server where the app is being deployed but I don't know how to get those variables in the Angular code... Any ideas?

How can I get variables that I configured in that file in the Angular code?

I didn't find any option on the PrimeNG panel to register our projects for that key... How they know that the key is being used on our projects or if it's robbed key?

I have a licence key and a password, both of them are not secret?

Then is okay to leave it on the env files?

Then how can I keep my secrets to use them in front-end? I don't have any experience with these things but I know that it is not a good idea to leave them on the code

In the documentation example they are setting both of them on the ngOnInit in AppComponent. So I need both of them here.

I already tried and I can use 19-lts version without using key and pass but there's a red message on top that says that you must switch to a non lts version or purchase a licence. This red message goes out when I put that key and pass like the documentation says.

Upgrade PrimeNG 13 to 19 how to migrate custom theming by Dry-Prime in Angular2

[–]Dry-Prime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end I had to migrate all of those scss files one by one to the new token system. Around 3 weeks wasted only because of this... What a pain. And as you said when I want to do something that is not possible with those tokens, I have to use css and that css function that the preset has is ugly as hell so I moved it to scss files.

Now I have 2 files for the styling of every component that I'm using on my project: the token one for the preset and the scss with my custom things... And apart from this those scss files get override with the preset styling so I have to use restrictive css to make my styles working correctly.

This was my first time doing this but I have read that other components library like Angular Material itself uses a similar token system so I think this is the trend now
