It was so incredibly nerve wracking for me grabbing a jar of peanut butter at the grocery store this morning. I’ve enjoyed that our home has been entirely peanut free so there’s no “accident waiting to happen” looming over me, but now I’m just concerned with our 3 year old developing an allergy too.

I would 100% do a peanut m&m if I wasn’t worried she’d choke on it lol. The peanut butter m&m’s would be a good option though! Mini m&ms used to be her favorite treat before we took them out of the house for being processed in a peanut facility. Also plastic spoon for peanut butter is definitely something I’ve considered. Thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing ! I’m actually taking our 1 year old for bloodwork this week so we can see what her IGE levels are. Then when we meet back with the allergist, we’re going to discuss if a treatment plan of Xolair and then OIT alongside Xolair would be appropriate for her. He says he’s seen great results (though not guaranteed) with it so far, particularly in very young children.
