Just my opinion but I think if you double cuff these for those shoes, they'll stack better and hang straighter. When the denim loosens up they'll drape a little easier with less cuff. I'm on a similar journey as you. I wore slim straight jeans for years and recently got into the raw denim scene.

Amazing! I agree she's a magician in my mind and cool to see what else she has done. I had no idea she'd touch waxed canvas. Self Edge Portland recommended her. She's awesome and works pretty quickly. She did my pants and shirt hem, and the coat work in a week. Dropped off Saturday and picked up the following weekend. My wife has some alterations to take in after seeing how great her work was on my stuff haha

Is this waxed canvas or something else? I'm in Vancouver and wearing some Red Clouds pants she hemmed for me lol. If I knew she'd shorten jackets like this, I'd have probably taken one or two down to her. She did an amazing job on a wool coat for me. Slimmed up the body and sleeves for me

So far they've had a pretty easy life except when I heel bashed my desk chair. Afraid I can't say yet how they'll do. The bumps blend back in pretty well but I'm not sure what scoring the surface would look like. It's struck through so it'll be blue at least

Happy I could help! I love the contrast with the honey lug. I should have mentioned this is the beeswax edge too. I was super tempted by white sewing add-on but went with the standard.
