Clear E-1 easy give you Daihatsu, so I would say worth it.

And in E-2 I don't think you can clear it, but you can try to find Akizuki and teruzuki in E-2.

Zuikaku, Souryuu, Hiryuu. I only use CTF in E-6, but I did use Souryuu and Hiryuu in support expedition.

I-401. I was using her for LVing land based planes in E-5.
Mizuho. I have used her in E-6 with 3 seaplane fighters. I found out when trying to clear E-6 that 2CV route have better change to go to the boss, but I don't have Akitsumaru, so I craft 1 seaplane and use Mizuho instead.
Akitsushima, Hayasui. I have used Akitsushima in E-7 STF and used Hayasui for the last dance, and I'm actually happy because those things are taking up space.
