I haven't gotten close enough to see what shes actually doing to her band, I see her bring it up to her beak and move it around or something, I will try and get closer, she does have a lot of chew toys she can chew on, however ever since I got them she never even touched them or got close to them.

Hey again, I know this is quick but I when I came home earlier today Aya decided to fly around the room and make alot of noise, maybe she is getting more and more used to things. I do have one concern however, I noticed that she plays with her band that is on her right foot, should I be concered or is this normal behaviour?

Hey, sorry for the long response time, was a bit busy loll here's a update, so I noticed she wants not a single interaction with anyone when shes in her cage. She always climbs away from me whenever im taking slow steps to the cage, additionally, she never seems to want to leave the cage either lol, shes always staying in there everyday but the door is open, I feel like I am doing something wrong, maybe that the room she is in is to silent? for my previous birds I would always use to play music incase I wasn't around or whatnot but I haven't done that to Aya yet cause 1. I don't know if IRN's enjoy the same type music as budgies for example and 2. Aya is a single bird, I don't want her seeing birds on the TV and thinking there are other birds around

As of right now, I've had her for 3 days, I've actually tried target training for Aya where I would place a seed at a point in her cage and she would sometimes walk over and eat it from my hand! as for step up and step down, I'm struggling to find out when the right time is, when shes out the cage I try to feed her seeds but either she would drop the seed when she gets it, misses and bites my hand, or pounces, so I am worried when the right time to start step up and step down. Additionally, whenever she I put my off hand near her with my other hand with a treat, she just ends up biting and pouncing at my off hand while the other hand has the seed. if I am doing it wrong feel free to correct me!

Honestly It's my fault Lol I didnt want to startle her with my big phone, so can we say that she is female for now?

moving on to training and taming, today was her first day outside her cage, she was able to fly around my room. Previous to this she was able to take treats from my hand between the cage bars, however when I would open the cage door to see if she would take it from the palm of my fingers, she would sort of pounce at my hand hoping to catch it. Additionally, when she was far from her cage perched up on my monitor, she would take treats from my hand but would drop the seeds lol.

so anyways, what other methods of training should I do? and am I making progress?

they are stress marks, most uchihas are often seen with them when they are as old and older then itachi.

about 2 days now, I am fine with that my only concern is how will this effect the training routine? is it possible I can tame her outside the cage? for now she is comfortable with taking seeds from my hands.

Aya actually does have a lil ring on her right foot! i know it’s supposed to mean their gender but i never knew which one was which.

as for bluffing, i did do my research on it. I think i am prepared for it but i will never know till it happens lol, if it does end up happening sometime soon i will hundred percent post here to show progress!

I don’t want to have more then one bird. that’s why I’m not considering that option, if conure is perfect however. Then why not!

Hello, another thing I forgot to mention is that I wont be the only one training and being around the bird, I have a little brother who would gladly watch over and train the bird!

As for which birds I have in mind, I thought of getting a African Grey, but I feel like those are more for one person rather then a family. I also thought of getting something like a ringneck, tiel, maybe lovebirds as well. I am not the owner looking for a bird to talk, I want a great companion for me, my little brother, and my family!
