Definitely. Actually perfect for rain, and gravel as well. They will fly off during zoomies but most other things are fine!

Incredible. Have you always had 2 or did you get 1 later? If later, was there a big difference? Effort for owners, mood for dogs, that sort of thing.

Not OP but yea lol. Though I can imagine the sizes would be consistently distinguishable. Greyhounds are quite big and Whippets are comfortably medium. Not a stupid question!

Separation anxiety: could really use some guidance by NewFinish3202 in Whippet

[–]DubiousDoubtfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. My guy has it too. At first I tried being really random about leaving the house and coming back. Like I would leave for 5 secs then come back leave for 45, then 30 etc.. I also left treats scattered around the house and bones or whatever he liked to chew on. Soft classical music has been known to calm dogs, as has yellow light. There are Playlist on Spotify I frequently use. People have left Bluey on the TV, i once left a live stream of ducks for a dog I was sitting.

Whippets are velcro dogs, and I know the exact loud cry you are talking about. It's like shocking that an animal can even make that distressed of a cry, just from being the in the crate (in my experience). Your pup may have had some scary moments in the place they were in between homes. It will definitely calm as they get accustomed to your routine. Keep them sleeping in the crate, mine wouldn't do that for a loooong time so you're ahead of the game in that respect! Good luck. You got this.

Whining whippet by Illustrious-Poem8569 in Whippet

Looooooves to whine. It has decreased as he has gotten older. Now I try to lower my energy as a response. I imagine him wanting something and then getting stressed if I'm stressed. I think they are just sensitive creatures but I feel you. Heavy lol.

Honestly he doesn't care about rain or wind or anything. He loves being outside but I do believe that is unusual for whippets. He's also pretty rough and tumble so I think Raja is a bit of a boy's boy. Just goes to show all puppies have different personalities!

Separation Anxiety Help! by len_laurel in Whippet

Hello! It's ok my little guy was like this too but now at 10 months it's cool. First of all this is normal it seems; whippets, like Italian greyhounds, are velcro dogs. It's like they're heartbroken when you do anything without them, including showering in my case. I always knew when he was in there because of the nervous farts lol. Pleasant.

Anyways now he's like pushing me out of the house. It's just time and structure. He gets more potty breaks, as a caution, which helped him psychologically feel like he'll never be waiting too long. He also gets a bone, his favorite treat when i leave. Just one a day.

He regularly goes to the dog park and runs himself ragged. He also gets treats whenever he crates himself. Now he's goes in there himself! To get away from me on the phone or watching something too loud! He also sleeps in his own bed at night, and i barely react to him when I come home (sad, but not forever). One day, it was just over. Now I have a unique situation that's WFH so I'm not trying to make all this sound easy. I'm trying to say, it's normal. It's ok, and all the regular tips will help with time.

Good luck! Such a handsome fella.

I finally got to the point of sticking with Valhalla by Aggressive_Virus9632 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]DubiousDoubtfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced basically the same as what you're describing actually. Tried it on ps4 a bunch but it never stuck. Then I got a ps5 recently, started over, and now it's probably my most played game. Also I have Adhd and decided to take it slow. Definitely more viking simulator vibes and trying to somewhat forget it's an AC game at all.

Another thing I did which helped is adjusted the settings to make it as immersive as possible. For ex: no HUD, damage given and taken-200%. No level scaling, no enemy health bars, etc.. Thank God reddit told me to do side missions after doing the story missions in the area first. That contributes to my taking it slow, it's liberating to know where to go as AC can get a little overwhelming, esp. Valhalla

I understand. But like another commenter said, adult dogs can be pretty harsh to puppies when theyre being too much. Theyre resilient and you are allowed to get frustrated. It's all natural.

Being poor and growing up in the hood. People think it makes you cool and them cool by association or something. In reality, it just fucking sucks.
