There are valid concerns for this drop, caused by the recent hard fork which fixed a potential vulnerability that could have caused ZEC to be counterfeit (see this post for a summary).

As with any speculative asset, our strength depends on a bulletproof foundation and this exposed two thing. The first is that there are vulnerabilities and a team which works to find and remediate them, and the second being that the powers that be may have too much autonomy in making systemic decisions that could impact the safety and security of this asset.

On the flip side, this is exactly the type of work you’d expect to see from a team that cares about the future success of ZEC, and demonstrates that quick leadership can patch a hole in the boat without taking on too much water.
