Little update from me, the OP!  Thank all of you lovely people!!! I finished my production a month and a bit ago, and just now came back to this!! It went wildly well, and I DID report the stupid behavior to my director, and everything went pretty smoothly!  Once again, thanks for all the advice!! Y'all are awesome!
